Freshly Made Sketches # 71 contains a tag this week. I thought of the Christmas tags I made this year inspired by Connie Plaumann. I got out my retired SU Cold Play and my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the coals just right on my snowman. I added a fresh spring of pine to his hat and wrapped a lovely felt scarf around his neck before I placed him among some embossed snowflakes. I added a sweet little sentiment to the bottom right of the card and it is ready to send this December….don’t know why I didn’t make this card last December? Maybe because I wasn’t inspired by FMS to make a card with a tag in it???
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Cold Play (retired), SU More Merry Messages
INK: SU Basic Black, SU Real Red, SU Garden Green
ACCESSORIES: random red button, felt red ribbon
TOOLS: SU Large Oval Punch, SU Scallop Punch, SU Corner Rounder,
SU Decorative Label Punch, SU Two Tags Die, MS Pine Punch, Tim Holtz Embossing Folder
Oh you clever girl turning that tag into a snowman! Just adorable! So glad you joined us at FMS!
Thank you, Linda. I loved the inspiration to use a tag on a card and enjoyed coming up with how to do it. I embellished the little guy but I did see the tag made into a snowman while perusing one day;)
*adorable!
Thanks, Katherine for your sweet comment:)
Love this card Cindy! That snowman is adorable! I love his little button and sprig of green! Such a fun take on Linda’s sketch! I’m always inspired by people who can make Christmas cards all year round!!!! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Thank you, Jen. This tag die is so versatile- I used it for three different tags this year and am in the process of using it for a Valentine’s treat holder;)
