SU Festive Flurry with More Merry Messages

I have been playing with my SU Festive Flurry Stamp set a lot and even used in the last two months for my classes but have not posted many things showcasing it so I decided it was up to bat for Dynamic Duos # 83 this week.

Dynamic Duos marina crumb

It’s a Subtles challenge but boy is Marina Mist a statement color in my opinion. I used my Envelope Punch Board to create this Gift Card Holder… or Gift Certificate in this case.

To make the holder:

1. Start with a 4 1/4 inch by 11 inch piece of cardstock and score on the long side at 2 inches, 7 1/4 inches, and 7 3/8 inches.
2. Place the short end of the longest part that you scored on the Envelope Punch Board and punch (no scoring)  at 1 inch and 3 1/4 inches. Essentially you are punching in 1 inch on each side.
3. Fold in on the score lines. The 7 1/4 and 7 3/8 inch scores create somewhat of a matchbox fold.
4. You can fold the tabs in either way. I chose to have the middle tab out but many images I saw of this kind of card have the middle tab tucked in.
5. Decorate as desired…I simply put bordered DSP in about 1/4 inch on each Crumb Cake panel.

The winning random number  is 11…Meredith

Meredith, please email me your address by Thursday, December 5 so I can mail out your Ribbon Roll Control on Friday!

We are in the middle of packing for a big move so I thought a few minutes of crafting would help me keep my sanity…however, sitting in my crafty area only increased the stress looking at everything I have to pack! I did come up with this little 4 inch by 4 inch Christmas card. I used the sweet sketch from retrosketches # 92 and the cue word RIBBON from CASology # 73 , and the theme of EVERGREEN from The Paper Players # 174 this week. Oh, am I thankful for the inspiration from these wonderful sites to help me create especially when my mind is all over the place right now!

Christmas in July with SU More Merry Messages

It’s the last day of the month and just in the nick of time for Christmas in July at The Friday MashUp # 120. I Mashed It Up with the Christmas theme and Stripes. I am still in love with the retired SU Be of Good Cheer DSP but I am  super excited for the new  silver and blues coming up August 1st!! Our basement is decorated in an outdoorsy theme  with pines year round and when I snapped this photo, I got I little excited for Christmas…but definitely want summer to stick around for a while here in Pittsburgh!

SU More Merry Messages

You know how making Christmas cards can become a bit monotonous when you are cranking  them out  when the holidays come around, and you are frazzled with everything you have to accomplish? Well, this was just plain fun today…and very clean and simple.  Actually, they will be easy to crank out come holiday season! This is one of the neat sets that is a carry-over item for the Christmas season from Stampin’ Up.

SU Keepsake Ornaments

I got a little blingy today with the SU Keepsake Ornaments set. I used  Freshly Made Sketches #87 for my layout and Dynamic Duos # 54 for my color scheme. I used two different sentiment sets that complimented each other well-  SU Petite Pairs and More Merry Messages. One more to add to that Christmas card box…
