Hello, everyone! Heidi has a fun challenge for us at the Friday Mashup #135. Be sure to go check out what the Design Team has come up with to inspire YOU to play this week…we love seeing your creations!
- Create a project with a “Game type image.. Deer, Moose, Turkey, etc. “
- Create a project using a “Woodgrain look. “
- Or Mash it Up and create a “project with Woodgrain and a Game animal image.
I used the beautiful Birch paper from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit for my woodgrain and the prancing deer from the Hostess Set Warmth and Wonder- both in the Holiday Catalog. I sponged around the Garden Green on the card base and the deer image to bring out the embossing on the Designer Frames EF and to create a rustic feel to the card. In person the Raspberry Ripple border around the deer and the satin stitched ribbon inside the ribbon slide are spot on but the photo shows a bit of contrast. Thanks to Sandy Mathis for the inspiration to use the birch paper on my card with the deer image;)
We made these cards at my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday- you should have seen the assembly line! Here are just two of my wonderful friends- they had a table for a moment all to themselves- a luxury!
The Paper Players # 170 has a challenge this week to use wildlife so I will share it over there as well!
Beautiful, Cindy! I always forget about the “birch” paper in the Tablescape kit. It really packs a punch! Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players!
