SU Wishing You

SU Wishing You…not just for Christmas

When I first saw the SU Wishing You set I thought about birthday presents as well as Christmas presents. Well, I finally got around to making it work for a birthday card thanks to Avery’s Friday Mashup # 147 Challenge this week.

Create a project using the “Sketch”.

Create a project with “Spritzing / Splattering”.

or Create a project using the “Sketch & Spritzing”.

I “mashed it up” with the sketch and splatters using SU Gorgeous Grunge. It’s a bright one for sure but a welcome burst of color during this dreary, cold winter.

SU Warmth and Wonder

Hello, everyone! Heidi has a fun challenge for us at the Friday Mashup #135. Be sure to go check out what the Design Team has come up with to inspire YOU to play this week…we love seeing your creations!

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with a “Game type image.. Deer, Moose, Turkey, etc. “
  2. Create a project using a “Woodgrain look. “
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a “project with Woodgrain and a Game animal image.

I used the beautiful Birch paper from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit for my woodgrain and the prancing deer from the Hostess Set Warmth and Wonder- both in the Holiday Catalog. I sponged around the Garden Green on the card base and the deer image to bring out the embossing  on the Designer Frames EF and to create a rustic feel to the card. In person the Raspberry Ripple border around the deer and the satin stitched ribbon inside the ribbon slide are spot on but the photo shows a bit of contrast. Thanks to Sandy Mathis for the inspiration to use the birch paper on my card with the deer image;)

We made these cards at my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday- you should have seen the assembly line! Here are just two of my wonderful friends- they had a table for a moment all to themselves- a luxury!
