As soon as I saw Avery’s Winter Themed Challenge #138 I immediately thought about a cute little SU SAB set I have from 1997 called Happy Winter. I have NEVER let go of a stamp yet…maybe that is why it took me from 5 pm until 7 am to pack my stamp center when the movers were coming at 9 am on Monday this week. I also had to get this done before my stamps were out of commission for a week!

Of course, back then I did not photograph every card I made or every food I ate for that matter…lol. So I did an image search for that stamp set and went to Splitcoast Stampers to get some inspiration. Boy, has card making changed since then…new punches, ribbons, layering- overall, just more design elements have come into play it seems. I did go with a simple layout that stands the test of time- a trio of tags but brought them up-to-date with some candy dot brads and ribbon loops. Back then, I did not know what a Stamp-a-ma-jig was or what it was used for- now, I could not live without it. With the SAMJ, I masked and made the sentiment in one line instead of two words stacked on each other as the stamp was made.  I would not have done that back in the day either. I finished it off by adding some embossing under the main panel to MASH it.
