I pretended I was a watercolor artist over the weekend…
this is what the Stampin’ Up Snow Front stamp set helped me do:
I can’t wait to play around some more with this set…
look at all the great “clear” photopolymer stamps to design your own masterpiece:
At first, I was bummed I did not use my Stamparatus to stamp the Buffalo Check Background and it was not perfect but then thought nothing is more comfy than a well worn flannel shirt! The sentiment comes from the SU Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set. There is also a sentiment in the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set that is the same words!
I easily cut down my sentiment stitched rectangle by cutting it out with the die and then placing the die right where I wanted it to be sized. You can customize the die cut to any size you want by sliding the die over the stitches that just sink down into the die cut. I use a post it to hold it in place when I die cut to be safe:) Think of all the possible sizes you can make!!
Mountains: Crumb Cake
Cabin and Deer: Soft Suede
Pond: Balmy Blue
Trees: Garden Green
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
Love your watercolor scene and that plaid paper is a perfect background!
Thanks, Linda! I appreciate you stopping by:)
I love this!
So happy you like it, Angela!
LOVE it Cindy! I’m a huge fan of that Buffalo Check background! You have created a darling scene.
I forgot how cool that Buffalo Check is, Barb. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you, Anonymous!
Love the scene you created and the Buffalo Check background. TFS
Thanks, JoAnn. It was fun being a watercolor artist with stamps!
I love what you did with this! Such a great combo!
Thank you, Michelle, for the encouragement!
What black ink did you use for the checks please? I love the way you have oriented everything!
Hi Lynne, forgot to post that it was Memento Black:)
Love the card! Where did the sentiment come from?
Oops! It comes from current Merry Christmas to All. Thanks for stopping by, Pam:)
Really nice, and I like the not-quite-perfect buffalo check. Like the Amish, maybe we, too, shouldn’t strive too hard to be perfect! 😉
What set is the sentiment from — hoping I have that set. Lovely card — I am just in love with Buffalo Check.
Hi Amy, the sentiment comes from the SU Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set. There is also a sentiment in the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set that is the same words! I used them in my Stamp a Stack and punched with a circle:)
