SU Springtime Impressions with Stitched All Around

June 13, 2018

I am still recovering from an action-packed weekend with my super, awesome, and most beloved stampers in Pittsburgh at our Catalog Kick Off Party. I wonder if they have recovered? I make those chickadees work hard at class… 6 cards using great new bundles and techniques. I try to make every moment count when we are together so they did get to play with everything especially the Stamparatus this past weekend!!!

I have a simple card for you today using the SU Springtime Impressions Thinlits and
the Stitched All Around Bundle. This sentiment is versatile and could be used for a wedding, graduation, or even a birthday card, don’t you think?

Die cutting the Copper Foil Sheets instantly glams up a simple card,
and copper embossing finishes it off!

Here’s an alternative design using Very Vanilla cardstock with the copper embossing
standing out on the tone on tone background.

SU Accented Blooms Sneak Peek

May 23, 2018

Happy Wednesday to you! I have a sneak peek of a new stamp set
coming out on June 1st in the Annual Catalog. It is called Accented Blooms.

The stamp set pairs with the Pretty Label Punch that is bundled with the
Truly Tailored stamp set in the current Occasions catalog.

I love that the lined image around the label is larger than the punched out shape.
Can you imagine how many sentiments you can put in that spot
in addition to the ones in the stamp set itself?

As you can see, I took a short cut and did not color each flower individually-
you could make a quick set of one layer notecards with this stamp set
changing up sentiments and colors as accents!

I am sharing this card with The Paper Players #394 “Blooms” Challenge this week:)

SU Apron of Love For Husband

April 20, 2018

I am so excited to show you this card today using
the SU Apron of Love and Bottles and Bubbles Bundles.
It just makes me happy! I used the sentiments from SU Guy Greetings.

I saw this card done by Handmade by Irene with a grill so I got pinspired to make my own!

I tried e-ver-y-thing possible to make that bottom part of the grill that keeps the tripod together. Everything looked goofy- the small oval punch, small circles, small ovals…it was just driving me crazy! In the end, the right piece was right in front of my nose! I just die cut the rolling pin, cut it, and pushed it together!

I used the 1-1/2″ circle punch to make the upper part of the grill.
I just keep thinking it looks like Pac Man…lol.

I did the inside two different ways…

The grass die comes from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits,
it’s a great way to finish of the inside of the card, don’t you think?

If you add bring some brews to the BBQ…

it fits into the  “food and drink” theme for Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge # 146

April 24, 2018– Thank you for choosing my card as a winner at Stamp Ink Paper!

SU Petal Palette Silver

February 14, 2018

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!

In the spirit of LOVE today, I have a wedding/anniversary card to show you using the
SU Petal Palette Bundle.
The Pinewood Planks dry embossed panel is just enough texture to be noticed but lets
the silver embossed roses take center stage on this card.

Silver Heat Embossing pairs so well with Smoky Slate ink.
I usually use Smoky Slate ink to stamp sentiments with delicate fonts, so much easier than heat embossing:)

It’s difficult to see in the photo but I used the beautiful silver foil paper to die cut the scallop oval that borders the Stitched Shapes oval. Some scattered rhinestones finished off the card wonderfully, don’t you think?

SU Daisy Delight

July 26, 2017

Today is my little girl’s birthday! In just two short months she will be walking down the aisle…

So in honor of her today…here is a birthday card made with the  Daisy Delight Bundle.

It’s so easy to create a half daisy- just cut a full size punched flower in half and stagger the petals- a neat alternative look to do with the Daisy Bundle. As you can see, I made a trio of cards using sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I used the coordinating Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper- one of my faves this year!
