Stampin’ Up Nature’s Beauty with Rooted in Nature

October 4, 2019

I am on a nature kick lately…
playing with neutrals and some of the beautiful animal images Stampin’ Up offers us.

I was inspired by Australian Demo Kylie Bertucci. Here is her card:

I stamped the Crumb Cake front panel with the Stampin’ Up Rooted in Nature stamp set. The log and the leaves were stamped in Soft Suede and the little branches of leaves were stamped with Early Espresso to coordinate with the card base and sentiment. I was going to put a layer around my focal image of the animals but then thought…dang, I can use my Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out an opening and get to see the outside decorative stitching left on the panel and then inlay the deer image with dimensionals leaving a dark border around it made from the existing card base! Now, I have another stamped die cut rectangle to make something with…you know I will…sooner or later…let’s hope it is sooner;)

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

SU Apron of Love For Husband

April 20, 2018

I am so excited to show you this card today using
the SU Apron of Love and Bottles and Bubbles Bundles.
It just makes me happy! I used the sentiments from SU Guy Greetings.

I saw this card done by Handmade by Irene with a grill so I got pinspired to make my own!

I tried e-ver-y-thing possible to make that bottom part of the grill that keeps the tripod together. Everything looked goofy- the small oval punch, small circles, small ovals…it was just driving me crazy! In the end, the right piece was right in front of my nose! I just die cut the rolling pin, cut it, and pushed it together!

I used the 1-1/2″ circle punch to make the upper part of the grill.
I just keep thinking it looks like Pac Man…lol.

I did the inside two different ways…

The grass die comes from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits,
it’s a great way to finish of the inside of the card, don’t you think?

If you add bring some brews to the BBQ…

it fits into the  “food and drink” theme for Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge # 146

April 24, 2018– Thank you for choosing my card as a winner at Stamp Ink Paper!

SU The Open Sea Recycled

Oh, yes, Paper Players…I did it for your #140 challenge… I dug into the garbage last night and found this used coffee filter:
Filter in the garbage
I rinsed it off and dried it overnight.

Dried filter
Then, I set to work today on using it somehow. It just seemed  perfect for the ledger in the SU The Open Sea set- a great masculine set I hope sticks around;)
