SU Apron of Love For Husband

April 20, 2018

I am so excited to show you this card today using
the SU Apron of Love and Bottles and Bubbles Bundles.
It just makes me happy! I used the sentiments from SU Guy Greetings.

I saw this card done by Handmade by Irene with a grill so I got pinspired to make my own!

I tried e-ver-y-thing possible to make that bottom part of the grill that keeps the tripod together. Everything looked goofy- the small oval punch, small circles, small ovals…it was just driving me crazy! In the end, the right piece was right in front of my nose! I just die cut the rolling pin, cut it, and pushed it together!

I used the 1-1/2″ circle punch to make the upper part of the grill.
I just keep thinking it looks like Pac Man…lol.

I did the inside two different ways…

The grass die comes from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits,
it’s a great way to finish of the inside of the card, don’t you think?

If you add bring some brews to the BBQ…

it fits into the  “food and drink” theme for Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge # 146

April 24, 2018– Thank you for choosing my card as a winner at Stamp Ink Paper!

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

SU In the Meadow with Guy Greetings

May 10, 2016

I love creating masculine cards! When I saw the SU In the Meadow stamp set- I knew I had to have it! I am sure you all peruse Pinterest as I do when I get a new stamp. I came across this card and liked how Lisa used circles to highlight the images and used the Work of Art stamp set to “color” the images of the trees and deer.

I modified my card by creating a mountainous background, adding an Early Espresso border on the deer image, embellishing it with Burlap and a candy dot, and using the SU Guy Greetings on the bottom of the card.  My stamping classes chose between the Happy Father’s Day greeting or the Happy Birthday Greeting. We even conserved paper by cutting our circles (2″ and 2 1/2″)  out of the Very Vanilla border on the front that is covered by the Crumb Cake card stock the mountains and greeting are stamped on:) Thankfully, both stamp sets are sticking around!

I used Soft Suede ink for the mountains, trees, deer, and greeting on the card. I stamped off once and then stamped the colors  Tip Top Taupe and Wild Wasabi on the stamped images on the circles. The second stamp on the images was stamped again with that same “stamped off” ink so it was essentially stamped off twice.

SU Guy Greetings

June 12, 2015

I am still laughing at this post…

I saw this t-shirt at Walmart for $4.98 last week, and bought it as a joke for my dear hubby. His famous line is…”Welcome to the Gun Show” as he flexes his muscles at our two grown-up 6 foot plus sons…LOL.

Guns

So, when I peered at one of my favorite stamp sets, SU Guy Greetings, and spied the muscleman, I thought “PERFECT” for his t-shirt.

Actually, I thought I would never ever use that one image!
Just a CAS card using Typeset DSP inspired by The Paper Players # 248 Masculine Challenge and the Freshly Made Sketches #190 Challenge. I am sharing it with the Friday Mashup #213 as well- a Father’s Day theme.

This week’s Mashup Challenge:

Create a project using your TWO favorite Mashup Challenges together on one project!
  •  Use 1 element from each of your Two Favorite Challenges together OR
  • Use both of the elements from your Two Favorite Challenges together.

I picked  the element “Use at least 2 punches” from Challenge # 48

and the “Special Man in Your Life” theme from Challenge # 60.

I used the SU Guy Greetings stamp set to make this masculine birthday card
for that special man…and I used the Banner, 2 1/2″ Circle, Hexagon, and  Decorative Label punches. I used Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Garden Green as my colors.

I had fun with this one and so did my stamping gals who made them at our Stamp-a-Stack. I love how you can customize your card for any guy in your life!

Check out all the stamps- Congrats, Birthday, Father’s Day all included in this fantastic set for that special guy in your life. The photopolymer stamps were awesome especially when stamping the hats and inside sentiment on the Decorative Label:)

*note the size of the hats/car to gauge the other stamp sizes.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I had a few minutes to play with the

Pals Paper Arts #237 challenge before dinner so I thought I would share it with y’all.

I used the new SU Guy Greetings stamp set with Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I die cut my letters with the Little Letters Thinlits and then dry embossed them with the retired SU Lattice folder. I admit I took a little liberty with the sketch but was inspired by Nicole’s CAS sketch. Who doesn’t still say this when they need to screw/unscrew something or turn on/off the garden hose?
