Mother’s Day

SU Secret Garden with Delightful Dozen

Happy Monday, friends! I fell in love again with the SU Secret Garden stamp set this weekend. It is just so pretty and comes with framelits that make cutting a breeze! I peeked over at Freshly Made Sketches # 129  and was inspired to make this card for my mommy.

SU Stippled Blossoms for a Happy Mother’s Day to Everyone!!

I wanted to wish everybody who is still up a Happy Mother’s Day today! Jim and I spent a wonderful day with our moms and extended family. Now, the food is put away, the dishwasher is running, and I had a moment to share a  card a thoughtful husband of one of my stamping friends got from me for his sweet wife for Mother’s Day. I used the SU Stippled Blossoms to create a 9 inch by 4 inch card that fit in a neat chocolate/espresso colored envelope tied with a pretty pink bow with a gift certificate inside:

SU Word Play Mother’s Day Candle Gift

You have already seen the card I made for my wonderfully awesome mom last month but…here’s a little gift to go with the card. We made these at Stamp Class as a gift for a mother or a friend…or for yourself as some gals said they were keeping it!! I used the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper and used coordinating colors to embellish a sweet blue candle. One friend said she was going to use this idea for shower favors…

SU Just Thinking (of Mother’s Day)

First, I would like to say Hi to Sandy, one of my friends and Stamp Campers! I said if I did not get a challenge card done tonight  after Camp that one of our Stamp Camp cards is going on my blog. So, here we go with one of the cards we did tonight for Mother’s Day. I used the  Spring Catalog 2013  Just Thinking stamp as a background border to frame the sentiment (retired but so pretty). We also used a lot of Spring Catalog items like the Tea for Two DSP, the Flower Trim, the Needlepoint Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and the Honeycomb embossing folder. I especially loved “dyeing” the flower trim with an ink pad that is so easy to do and adds just the right touch. We have so much fun at Stamp Camp each month creating, chatting, laughing, and snacking! I just love hanging out with my stamping girls!!!
