SU By the Tide

SU By the Tide

Lisa has a fun challenge for us this week at the Friday Mashup #152

Fm152F

1. Create a project using a “Nautical Theme”.

2. Create a “One Layer Card”

3. Or mash it up and create a project with the “One Layer Card with a Nautical Theme”.

SU has a few current “nautical” sets, and the Design Team came up with varied ways to use them this week. I chose to use the shells from the SU By The Tide stamp set. To mash it up and keep it one layered, I sponged four squares to be the frames for my shells. To be honest, I wanted to use four different images but each time I went through the sponging and then masked off the white border with a post-it note to stamp just a portion of the image, it did not stamp a clean line at my mask so…I just picked one of the image that fit in my square!

SU By The Tide

I found a two new sites this week, one with a MARINE challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges # 194 and a”Feeling Nautical” theme at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge  Blog. I saw that Simon Says Stamp  has a by the Sea Challenge too! I decided to share this fun card we made at stamp class this week using SU By The Tide. I was inspired by  my friends, Linda Heller and Bernadette Bliss. It is essentially a  5 1/2 in. by 4 1/4 in. gate-fold with a twist- three horizontal panels are added.
