SU Express Yourself

SU Wishing You…not just for Christmas

When I first saw the SU Wishing You set I thought about birthday presents as well as Christmas presents. Well, I finally got around to making it work for a birthday card thanks to Avery’s Friday Mashup # 147 Challenge this week.

Create a project using the “Sketch”.

Create a project with “Spritzing / Splattering”.

or Create a project using the “Sketch & Spritzing”.

I “mashed it up” with the sketch and splatters using SU Gorgeous Grunge. It’s a bright one for sure but a welcome burst of color during this dreary, cold winter.

SU Express Yourself

Here’s a fun 3D project I made for Lisa’s Challenge #136 over at
the Friday Mashup this week. Go check out what my fellow Design Team members made- such amazing projects this week!

  1. Create a project with  “Baked Brown Sugar, Always Artichoke & Crushed Curry.”
  2. Create a “3-D project.”
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a “3-D Project with the above Color Combo.”

You can never go wrong with the ever popular Post-It Note Holder- who doesn’t use these on a daily basis? I just received my luxurious Chevron Ribbon from the SU sale and put it to use. As I was rummaging through my buttons, I came across this perfect match (the photo does not do it justice) and tied it on my big bow. Add a simple sentiment to remind the recipient that you are thinking of them, and you have a cute little gift on hand when you need one! What are you going to do for the Friday Mashup this week? I can’t wait to see it!

I needed to make some masculine cards, and LeAnne at The Paper Players #168 had that very challenge this week- CAS Masculine cards. I pulled out my SU Rev Up the Fun and used the motorcycle image and the sketch from Fab Friday # 29 to create this card:

SU By The Tide

I found a two new sites this week, one with a MARINE challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges # 194 and a”Feeling Nautical” theme at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge  Blog. I saw that Simon Says Stamp  has a by the Sea Challenge too! I decided to share this fun card we made at stamp class this week using SU By The Tide. I was inspired by  my friends, Linda Heller and Bernadette Bliss. It is essentially a  5 1/2 in. by 4 1/4 in. gate-fold with a twist- three horizontal panels are added.

SU Simply Sketched Blue Bird Birthday

I love when a card challenge has a game to play! This week, LeAnne at The Paper Players # 152 gave us a bunch of choices with her tic-tac-toe grid. I just love the SU Simply Sketched Hostess Set and have been using the sentiments with a lot of different sets. However, this time I am using the perched birdie  in the grass and a sentiment from another great Hostess Set- Express Yourself. I got out my blender pens, some watercolor paper, and pretended I was a watercolor artist. I love how SU products enable anyone to be an artist…even me!
