SU Note card

Casing the New Catalog- SU Colorful Seasons

May 23, 2017

Doesn’t this card just scream summer! Up north, it is on its way- down in Florida, it is HOT!

I was inspired by the card on page 146 of the NEW catalog using the SU Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.

I used the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper (the ombre pattern) as the background.

My friend Linda taught me not to leave an image hanging so I grounded the chair on some sand created with an image from the SU Sheltering Tree stamp set. My sun came from the SU Wherever You Go stamp set- I love how it spans across the top of the panel:) A few scattered gold Metallic Enamel Shapes finished off the card.

Let me tell you, this is just a simple card made from this awesome stamp set…

so many images and framelits are included in the bundle.

It will be fun to use all year round for so many occasions!

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

SU Petal Parade with a Dozen Thoughts for SALE-A-BRATION 2014!

A funny thing called life took me hostage for a few days…but I am back now! I got to hang out tonight with my old pals ( a.k.a my stamps) which made me super happy;) I searched around for some inspiration and found another awesome challenge site called Seize the Sketch created by the super talented Lesley Croghan.  Stampin’ Up has created a lovely DSP this year called Sweet Sorbet for its SALE-A-BRATION starting on January 28 and running through March 31st. I picked two of the designs to use with the SU Petal Parade- another fun SAB stamp set coming out soon. I paired it with the SU A Dozen Thoughts to finish of this softly subtle but at the same time bold card for
Seize the Sketch # 11.

SU Kind and Cozy

I was in a simple kind of mood today…well, some might say I am kind of simple everyday! I intended to use some Gingham Garden DSP and then ended up liking the white space. Maybe I will try another later this week.  I also got a little off track with Anne Marie’s actual sketch at the Paper Players #169  taking a little artistic license I guess. But, in the end, I say challenges are meant to inspire us, right? Well, I think you can see how I was inspired by the sketch on this CAS card today…

SU Too Kind

Played with some new SU colors and stamps today- SU Too Kind with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Baked Brown Sugar ink. I added some bling with pearls to this CAS card to play along with the amazing Anne Marie Hile’s The Paper Players Challenge # 150. I  really like these “sketchy” sets- helps me to not be so OCD with perfectly stamped images- anyone else have that issue? Uh-oh, I see a little  misalignment….breathe, Cindy, it’s okay…
