It’s been a week since I posted a card! The family went on a cruise to celebrate the three graduations that happened in the last two weeks. Had to share this cheesy photo…
I had planned to schedule some posts before I left but life got in the way! So, I took the cards with me planning to post while I was cruisin’ but the internet was way too sketchy to wait around for a post to upload, and it was exorbitantly expensive to boot. However, I see you all survived without me but know I was thinking of you all…lol.
We got back to Our Orlando home earlier than I expected so I was able to get
Sara’s Friday Mashup #161 card finished and posted!
Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project with “Trees.”
Create a project with “Heat or Dry Embossing.”
Or Mash it up and create a project with “Embossing and Trees.”
I knew I would only be in FLA for a few days so I only brought 6 stamp sets and the new IN COLORS paper and ink with me- in case of withdrawal, of course. I did not have any of my embossing folders or fancy tools with me so I went super CAS with this one using the new green Mossy Meadow and the new yellow Hello, Honey. I am always surprised how the new colors seem to be similar to current colors but when they are put against them- they are quite different! I was so happy to see the SU Thoughts and Prayers made the cut for the new catalog coming out on June 2nd. I did use a random green button that matched quite nicely with the Mossy Meadow on this card:
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Thoughts and Prayers
INK: SU Mossy Meadow
PAPER: SU Naturals Ivory, SU Mossy Meadow, SU Hello, Honey
ACCESSORIES: random matching green button, SU Naturals Twine
TOOLS: SU Large Oval Punch, SU Scallop Punch, SU Dimensionals
FYI: The tree stamped panels are each 1 1/4″ by 3″ adhered to a Mossy Meadow rectangle with about a 1/16 to 1/8″ border around and in between the panels. I then adhered the image to a rectangle of Hello, Honey with a 1/4″ border all around it.
