SU Perfect Mix for Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day!

Don’t let this cute stamp set get away! I think the SU Perfect Mix was the first set in the Occasions catalog that I just had to have…it is just so clean and cute…however, it took me until Retirement month to play with it in class with my awesome stamping group!!!

It is a “perfect” stamp set for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or a just because card for a friend.

My girls chose their image and sentiment, cut the scallop borders from the black cardstock under the DSP, and covered up the holes with the DSP. They wrapped three different pieces of 6″ black baker’s twine around the front panel and adhered it to the Whisper White card base. Cute images/sentiments were stamped in black and accented with coloring with the Watercolor pencils. Of course, the images were die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It was a quick and simple card after making this card and this card that had a bit of die cutting and stamping involved…heeheehee.

Did you notice the front only has one stamped image- the sentiment. The rest of the card front is made with the framelits- I added some pink clouds around the white clouds so they would stand out against the white background. And…I stamped the inside:)

SU Lovely Amazing You

I was cutting and packaging for classes yesterday in preparation for next week but took a little break to play along with Stampin’ Up Only Challenges # 125.

We were asked to keep one edge of our card “not straight.”

Here is what I came up with…

I used the Lovely Amazing You photopolymer stamp set with the Itty Bitty Accents heart punch. The red DSP is retired but worked just fine to add a little pattern along with the Happy Heart embossing folder. I guess I have a CAS Valentine done early!
