June 2016 Craft Project Central #4 Wine Bottle Box and Card

June 9, 2016

Yapha Mason has a great idea for giving a gift of wine for Craft Project Central June 2016.

Wine Bottle Box & Card SP

A bottle of wine is a nice gift for so many occasions, from a quiet dinner at a friend’s house to a milestone celebration. This fantastic hexagonal wine bottle gift box is a great alternative to the traditional bag. It is easy to make and even easier to customize in the colors and patterns of your choosing. This project includes the wine bottle box, a matching tag, and a coordinating card. This would make a great project for a club or class, but make sure everyone brings their own bottle of wine and maybe an extra for sharing!

Remember you can get all 10 projects for June 2016 for only $10 at Craft Project Central.

SU Festival of Trees for FM

I am excited to be the hostess this week at the Friday Mashup #181.

I have to admit, I have  an ulterior motive…

I am asking for ideas for my holiday gift tagging needs (wink, wink.)

I can’t wait to see what you crafty ones will share with everyone at the Friday Mashup!

Be sure to check out what the creative Design Team has to share this week as inspiration.

Some basic directions for making this tag:

I used the largest Banner die on the Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I cut two of them and then cut off the pennant ends off of one by lining the straight end at 3 3/4″  on my trimmer. After it was cut, I scored it at 3″ and folded it over and attached to the other full cut banner. I used the smallest banner die for the little tail in the middle.

The initial hole on the tag for hanging is 1 3/8″. Then I punched out of Lost Lagoon cardstock a 1 3/8″ circle with enough room around it to punch a 1 3/4″ circle that left a thin donut to border around the hole punched on the tag. I made another Glimmer donut the same way using the 1 3/4″ punch and the 2″ punch and put that glimmer border around the Lost Lagoon one.

You can adapt the tag with any stamp set you have and put it on

vinegars/oils, lotion, bubble bath, room deodorizer, coffee syrups- any thing you hang something off of!

Send me a pic if you create a tag with this template- hey, do one for this challenge!
