Crafters, it’s time for the Friday Mashup Challenge # 150. This week, Holly is asking us to
Create a “Masculine” project.
Create a project with some “Stitching/sewing on it”
or
Create a “Masculine project with Stitching on it”.
The machine at the burlap factory made it easy for me to add the stitching to my card! I know, that is a stretch but it is woven and stitched together…just sayin’…
This card is going to the wonderful nephew of a dear friend and neighbor. In fact, that nephew is also the son of another sweet friend of mine!
I used the ole faithful SU Lovely as a Tree for my image. I usually use the other trees so it was fun to use the oak this time. I pulled out my SU Pastel Chalks to add the color to my circle since my sponging ability was less than desirable. The chalks are a favorite of mine and so easy to achieve a more even tone. I guess it is safe to say that the SU Hardwood is a new favorite of mine as well!!
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Lovely as a Tree, SU Sketched Birthday
INK: SU Soft Suede, SU Pastel Chalks (retired)
PAPER: SU Soft Suede, SU Very Vanilla
ACCESSORIES: SU Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist Candy Dots
TOOLS: Circle Framelits, SU Bitty Banner Framelits
Hope to see your masculine and/or stitched project this week, hop over to the

Cindy, I fell in love with this card the minute I saw it posted on the DT blog. The tree stamp, the way you sponged, the hardwood background…this is just AWESOME!! Definitely going into my “Love it and need to CASE” file 🙂
