Stampin’ Up Forever Lovely Gift Ensemble Video Tutorial

February 5, 2019

I have a treat for you today that you can treat someone with for Valentine’s Day, a Birthday, or a Just Because…

And here is a video to show you how to make the trio of projects!

Please note: Use a strong adhesive when adhering the sides of the bag together and with the trim around the top that goes over the handles.
I found my Snail did not adhere it strong enough after my video was done!!

The gift is a pizza box filled with a treat:

I filled this one with an EOS hand lotion.

I made a bag in a box to hold the pizza box with the gift.

A matching card slips into the bag easily.

Actually, the bag in a box is perfect for gifting a set of cards.
You can tuck at least 3 cards with envelopes, maybe even five, in a landscape position perfectly.

Thanks for buzzing by…

SU Tuxedo Card using Bow Punch

December 4, 2016

My daughter is in wedding mode for October 2017…save the dates, invitations, bridesmaids invites, and even groomsman invites. While preparing for her brother’s wedding a couple months ago where she was the Maid of Honor, her fiance mentioned how HE wanted to make invites for his groomsmen like she did with her “champagne cheers” invites for her bridesmaids.
So she surprised him with these tuxedo cards with some help
from Australian SU demonstrator Diane Barnes:

It was so fun to have her in my stamping room figuring everything out as she made them especially the cute bow ties made with the SU Bow Builder Punch. I love how she made the cumberbund or cummerbund (the second being the correct spelling and the first being a variant we Americans seem to use) check out WordLady’s take on it HERE.

I think she is a natural crafter who just won’t admit it!!!

BTW, she had to make 11 of these…no, that is not a typo- 11 attendants on each side…

SU Acorny Thanks in a Baker’s Box

November 6, 2015

When my friend, Claire, chose a Thankful Theme for The Paper Players Challenge #269, I knew some great people I am thankful for everyday.

pp269

Since stamping is my obsession, it is always on my mind…therefore all the wonderful ladies I stamp with at classes are on my mind every day. I am so grateful for the friendships I have been blessed with since I started sharing my hobby with others. It is just amazing how we all have such a great time with each other- different personalities and different lives but all women enjoying each other’s company as we get creative each month together. I love all of them, dearly. Here was a little token of my thanks to all the girls who take time out of their lives to make me smile at class:

SU Acorny Thanks Baker's Box single

I used the SU Acorny Thanks stamp set and coordinating punch along with my 2 inch circle and 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch to decorate my SU Baker’s Box made with the easy to cut out die! I went with a neutral base of Crumb Cake and accented it with Mossy Meadow- my favorite green right now.  I added a little Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum to coordinate with the Gold Glimmer paper on the acorn. How awesome that the sentiment fits inside the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits!

TIP: Don’t put together your box without the handle openings cut out! Oh yeah, I thought I could just do some simple hole punches to rectify my error but I just could not get them straight…maybe after cutting and putting together 60 boxes my mind and hands were not working….lol.  So I pulled out some gold binding clips I had. Well, I had three…so Amazon helped me out and I ended up with pretty coordinated gold clips!

What’s inside? Washi tape fit perfectly!

Gotta run to set up my next class and give out the favors!

PS…thankful for all you followers, too!

11/7/15- Thank you, Jodi, for picking my favor as a Cut Above at the Paper Players this week!

SU Mini Treat Bag Tea Bag Holder With Bold Butterfly and Butterflies Framelits

July 8, 2015

Stampin’ Up Only Challenges # 126 is all about Designer Series Paper.

suofanblinkie

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Pretty Petals Paper Stack!

I love every design in it!

Here is just one of the 12 patterns I chose to use to make a cute little tea bag holder using the SU Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I wondered if the metal rimmed pearls would be that big of a deal but then I got them…OH MY…they are sweet!

SU Mini Treat Bag with Constant Comment Box

The cardstock butterfly was die cut from the Butterflies Framelits, and the other two butterflies were die cut from SU Vellum with the Bold Butterflies Framelits. SU Vellum is quite a substantial vellum, thicker than some I have used in the past.

Amy’s Friday Mashup # 215 has a “3” as part of her mash up

FM215

so my 3 butterflies flew in under the radar!

SU Mini Treat Bag Inside with sentiment

The Very Vanilla panel the tea bag is attached to on the insert measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and the Basic Black insert measures 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. A sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set and a bit of retired grosgrain ribbon was added to pull out the tea bag insert.

I hope you try making one of these sweet little treats for someone…I love that they fit in a standard A2 envelope so you could send one in the mail, and tell a friend or relative to enjoy a cup of tea with you!
