Stampin’ Up Home to Roost- a FREE Sale-a-Bration Gift

January 24, 2019

I have another rooster for you this morning…
I received an email through the night asking how I did my rooster card, and I asked which one? She said she thought I had just one on my blog. I checked and sure enough, the card below was never posted but was made back in November when I first got it along with my Rectangle Stitched Framelits!! I remember playing around with the barn door to get it just the way I wanted and looking at google images to get colors …and then forgot to post it!
But today I was awakened by this rooster:)

I have to share one of my favorite movies with you— Rock a Doodle! Since I posted this, I can’t stop singing the songs- and the movie came out back when my 31 year old was about 4 years old. I took him on his first mommy date without the second baby along- I forgot my purse and found $1.50 in change in my car- and yes, it paid for both of us to get in!!!! Had to wait for treats when we got home, though:)

Remember the Home to Roost stamp set is a FREE gift with a $50 purchase of anything
you choose during our SALE-A-BRATION EVENT Jan-March.

Stampin’ Up Nine Lives Mirror Image Stamping Technique Video Tutorial

January 23, 2019

Notice how my cats are facing different directions? How did I do that?

It’s Wednesday, it’s Video Day where I will show you how to do Mirror Image Stamping!

Back in the day, Mirror image stamping was done with  the Stamp-a-ma-jig and acetate
but now the Stamparatus and the Silicone Mat make the technique super easy!

You can try this technique with any image you want to face the opposite direction than the stamp would actually stamp. The Dog in the Happy Tails bundle is another great image to mirror image stamp. Can you think of any more  off hand? That’s your homework…

Stampin’ Up By The Bay Sale-a-Bration Gift

January 21, 2018

Good Monday Mornin’, friends! I have a sweet notecard for you today.

I made this card using a FREE stamp set you can get as a gift during Sale-a Bration!

You can see ALL the fun offerings for Sale-a-Bration HERE.

Of course, you know by now that I am loving my Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
And, I think the majority of the cards I make has a Stitched Shapes Frame in one way or another.
The stitches give a wonderful finished, professional look, don’t you agree?

The serene scene in this stamp set lends itself to a thinking of you/sympathy/get well card.
I used the Well Said Bundle for my sentiments. I will be using that one a lot on my cards!

Take a look at the Well Said Bundle:

In case your brain is like mine and finds it hard to read the die cut words …they are:

happy, you, birthday, thanks, baby, sympathy, hooray, love, wishes, miss, friend, bride, groom, and welcome
with a bird, a butterfly, posies, and leaves thrown in for good measure!

Stampin’ Up Let It Ride Stepped Up

January 18, 2019

WAIT…you have not seen this one…

I am sure you all have made a card and then came up with a way to step it up days or maybe even weeks later? Well, this time it was a week later.
I used Early Espresso as my card base instead of white. I think it worked with the horse color.
I inlaid the Rectangle Stitched  frame with the horse image inside a rectangle I die cut out of the green/blue panel.
This was my first one.

I also wanted to add something to the inside of the card so I repeated the outside on the inside.

My original inside:

I then inlaid the image inside another green/blue panel like the outside.

I am happy with both but really love the second one with the darker base and matching inside:)

See this post for the materials.
