Hey there, crafters! It’s time for another Friday Mashup Challenge – # 184.

Lisa is looking for some different takes on a box for gifting given with a thankful heart.

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:

Create a “Box Project.

“Create a project with a “Thanksgiving or Thankful Theme.”

or Mash it Up!

and create a “Thanksgiving- or Thankful-Themed Box.”

My daughter loves the new round EOS lip balms. I thought I would create a little box type holder for one of these popular items. Of course, the color is just perfect to go with last year’s Fresh Prints DSP.

EOS Holder

I simply made a little stand out of a 3 1/2 ” square scored in 3/4″ on all four sides with a circle framelit cut out for the lip balm to sit in.

Then I cut two 2″ x 4 1/4″ pieces of DSP and used the Angled Tag Punch to bring the tops together with a sweet little Pool Party cotton ribbon. A touch of Real Red ribbon finished off the Crumb Cake Base. I stamped “For You,” from the Chalk Talk stamp set and added a Crumb Cake border using a Circle Framelit bordered by the 1 3/4″ scallop punch.  I was so pleased how the inside pattern of the DSP was complementary with the outside and not distracting as some double sided papers seem to be. I thought the posies deserved some pearl accompaniment as well:)

*My Mash Up thankful theme will be put to use when this goes to someone as a thank you!

And, this week, Stampin’ Up Only Challenges #108  has a

The Treat’s the Thing” theme,

so I am going to share it with everyone over there!

SU Perfect Blend with Tag It

Amy at the Friday MashUp # 125 has a fun challenge this week- A-B-C, 1-2-3. The guidelines ask participants to use elements in the project beginning with A-B-C and use 1 embellishment, 2 stamp sets, and 3 colors. I was making favors for my upcoming  SU Perfect Blend class this Wednesday and they  fit in with the challenge perfectly.

Coffee Favors

It has been hard not to post this once I was done with the favors on Saturday morning… but I had to wait to post this until the last minute so I could surprise at least of few of my stamper gals tonight!

SU Perfect Blend Sour Cream Container

A- ANTIQUE Brad

B- Espresso BEANS

C-CHOCOLATE COVERED  treat in a Sour Cream CONTAINER

Espresso Beans

1- EMBELLISHMENT-Naturals Trim Ribbon

2- STAMP SET- SU Perfect Blend, SU Oh, Goodie

3- SU COLORS: Soft Suede, River Rock, Early Espresso

Sour Cream containers are soooooo easy to make to hold little gifts or treats. Start with  a 4 1/4 inch  by 5 1/2 inch piece of Designer Paper- it seems to be easier to work with than heavier card stock.

Put sticky strip on two of the longer sides and one of the shorter sides.

Roll the shorter side with the sticky strip removed over the other shorter side to create a tube.
