SU Flower Shop, Gorgeous Grunge, and some Oh, Goodie!

I am happy to be home after the SU Convention- it was fun but crowded! I loved hanging out with some great friends and learning how to better serve my wonderful stamping crew with my love of the quality Stampin’ Up product line. This card with XOXO added goes out to the awesome people I have had the opportunity to share with over this past year- whether it be a local stamping class or one my online followers who I may have passed on a little bit of inspiration. You all are getting  big virtual XOXOs  from me!

SU Mixed Bunch Candy Favors

Hey Everyone!! It’s been a busy last few days in Utah at the Stampin’ Up Convention! Having a ball meeting up with old friends and meeting new ones- the stamping community is just so fun! I will be posting some fun stuff in the next few days. But I wanted to share this cute little treat with all of you wonderful subscribers to my blog. You all make my day when You leave a comment or jump on board… blessings to you all:)

Remember those fun little colorful circles I used last week with the SU Oh, Hello set? Well, here are the favors I mentioned in my post.  I made these for my wonderful stamping crew with SU Mixed Bunch.

Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Mixed Bunch, SU Bloomin’ Marvelous
INK: SU Bermuda Bay, SU Daffodil Delight, SU Melon Mambo
PAPER: SU Whisper White
TOOLS: SU 1 in. Circle Punch, SU Secret Garden Framelits, SU 3/4 in. punch, SU Bitty Butterfly punch

* I used Rite-Aid brand peanut butter cups that had a solid gold covering without a brand name stamped on them like a Reese’s has- I  actually liked them much better than a Reese’s- they tasted more like a peanut butter melt-a-way! Rolos would be perfect too…just find a circle punch that fits a candy you have!

SU By The Tide

I found a two new sites this week, one with a MARINE challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges # 194 and a”Feeling Nautical” theme at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge  Blog. I saw that Simon Says Stamp  has a by the Sea Challenge too! I decided to share this fun card we made at stamp class this week using SU By The Tide. I was inspired by  my friends, Linda Heller and Bernadette Bliss. It is essentially a  5 1/2 in. by 4 1/4 in. gate-fold with a twist- three horizontal panels are added.

SU Flower Shop with Sassy Salutations

I just got my SU Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set on Saturday and got to play with it tonight. I
used the colors from The Paper Players #154 this week.

Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Flower Shop, SU Sassy Salutations
INK: SU Bermuda Bay, SU Crushed Curry, SU Baked Brown Sugar
PAPER: SU Eastern Elegance DSP, SU Bermuda Bay, SU Crushed Curry, SU Baked Brown Sugar
ACCESSORIES: SU Brights Designer Buttons, SU White Baker’s Twine
TOOLS: SU Pansy Punch

Here’s a  great tip when using the Flower Shop stamps with the Pansy Punch since there are so many different petals on each flower, and they need to be lined up perfectly to punch it correctly:

Mark your punch on the bottom petal with a dot where you would slide the punch on the paper.

Then mark each flower in the set where that specific petal is located on the stamp. Here are two examples:

Stamp the pansy with the dot on the bottom closest to the edge of the paper, and the punch will slide right over the pansy every time you match up the dots.

Just Wanted to BRIGHTEN Your Day with NEON

Well, one thing I can say about NEON- CASology’s # 52 Cue Word is it sure does show up well in a photo! I had some different neon papers but they are looked hideous when I put them together…so I just went with one bright statement with this neon yellow quite brighter than any other SU yellows I have current or retired. It looks like it is glowing sitting on my shelf… I used another one of my mystery brads that I love so much and are dwindling away…it adds a little pop to a very clean and simple card. In my honest opinion, I think the yellow needs no introduction here…

Week 52 - Neon

I used SU Basic Black and some random neon yellow paper with the Hampton Arts stamp that was collecting dust on my shelf and by collecting dust I mean….collecting dust!
