Stampin’ UP! Turtle Friends

May 21, 2021

Isn’t this little reptile just the cutest? I don’t know why I always think of a turtle as a he?

He comes in the Stampin’ UP! Turtle Friends stamp set that is bundled with the Turtle Punch. There are sweet little tiny turtles that face each way, too! It just makes me happy!

Did you notice I used the leftover Evening Evergreen DSP circle from my last post? I also used some leftover DSP on the inside from that same 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP. Love using up scraps:)

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

Stampin’ UP! Inspired Thoughts and Beauty of the Earth DSP

May 17, 2021

I am in Hawaii on the Stampin’ UP! Incentive Trip and wanted to share a great card my friend, Janet Munden made using the Inspired Thoughts stamp set and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. Janet is on the trip with me, and I just thanked her for helping me with a blog post for you today! I love quite a few things…

I love Janet’s simplicity of design which is quite detailed…does that make sense? She used layering as a great way to add interest to the CAS design. The Basic Border Dies are a wonderful addition to the card, too. Now, take a closer look below…

The Mossy Meadow rectangle on the left that the sentiment flap slides into is die cut from the Beautiful Trees Dies. A great die to use for cutting out sentiments, too!

Stampin’ UP! Garden Birdhouses

May 14, 2021

I was smitten with the Stampin’ UP! Garden Birdhouses stamp set as soon as I saw it…

I made a few of these for a swap group I am in- it was a lovely color therapy session amid a plethora of things I had to so this week getting prepared to go on the Stampin’ UP! Hawaii Incentive trip tomorrow! WooHoo!

I stamped the Crumb Cake Card Base with Sahara Sand ink to create a background for focal image of the birdhouse. I “painted” my birdhouse with Light Night of Navy, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. I had good luck coloring the Early Espresso leaves with Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I colored a bunch of leaves with Dark Old Olive, too. See below. Both colors looked great! Usually, I stick to Memento Tuxedo Black when I use blends. Just do a scratch paper image to see if the blends react with the stamping ink- some do, some don’t.

Take a look at the cute Stampin’ UP! Garden Birdhouses stamp set.

Oh, I just love this set!!!!
