Here is a fun way to organize a messy… um- well-used desk. I made a desktop bulletin board from a wire paper holder from Office Max (for approx. 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper). I used some retired black and white DSP with a subdued yet trendy background and popped some colorful flowers stamped from the Flower Patch stamp set.I stamped the NOTES from a retired SU stamp set called Metro Style Alphabet but ANY alphabet stamp set or die cut letter would work for this project.
Look at these cool images you can choose from to create various flower combinations…
The bright flowers are a cinch to die cut with the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits! I put magnets on the back of the flowers with the black border so I can pop a note on my wire desktop bulletin board! I am thinking this would be a great teacher gift, don’t you think?
It would be like you are giving the teacher flowers all year!
Hey friends, it is a Card Maker’s Choice at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #36 so I thought I would share my Stamp-Du-Jour which is currently a favorite of mine… SU A Nice Cuppa with sentiments from Balloon Celebration. I have fallen in love with both sets as I prepare for a Product Class and a new Guest Designer spot I will be doing in April! Here is one that will not be in the showcase:
I can’t help mentioning how the spoon is one of the scallops-just makes me smile.
There’s a little cuppa inside, too…
I just don’t use Wisteria Wonder enough…it is so pretty!
Some fun stuff on the Weekly Deals at a 25% discount…WooHoo!
Good today, Tuesday, February 23 through next Monday, February 29:
2015-2017 IN COLOR STAMPIN’ WRITE MARKERS
CLASSY DESIGNER BUTTONS
FLOWER MEDALLION PUNCH
HAPPY HEART TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS EMBOSSING FOLDER
STARS FRAMELITS DIES
Let’s take a trip down
to see some of these tools in use:
Here are a few samples I created using the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder:
Here are a few cards I made with the Star Framelits:
The samples below use the retired Petal Potpourri stamp set
but you could substitute the flower in the SU Crazy About You stamp set or just use the Flower Medallion punch with plain cardstock or vellum to make pretty flowers.
And here is a Valentine I did a few years back for the Paper Crafters Sampler
showcasing the “Classy Designer Button”:

I used just one stamp from the SU Suite Sayings stamp set. Imagine making a bunch of these cards and adding sentiments as you need them…sympathy, birthday, thank you.
*I was inspired by Linda Heller’s “white flower design on white” at our meeting:)
If you pay close attention to all the sentiments- you will see a lot of the fonts coordinate with other sets in both the Occasions catalog and the Annual catalog.
I liked how this particular sentiment matched the fern die cut.
I am sharing this card with those playing along at The Card Concept # 49 Floral Radiance. I consider it CAS since it is uncluttered with lots of white space, limited layers, and quick to create. I was inspired by the top color in the photo since it was “minty” and matched one of the colors showcased in the SU It’s my Party Enamel Dots!
