SU You Are My Sunshine

It’s a Sun Shiny Day over at the Friday Mashup # 107 this week. I didn’t mash it up with an easel but did combine it with a neat sketch over at The Paper Players #143. I love the sunny yellow combined with vibrant green on a neutral kraft base. I adapted the placement of the second smaller circle to go above my image because it fit better that way;) I also put the exact same size yellow oval under the sentiment that you see when you turn the card. It needed something else, and I didn’t have anything that nested well so that is what I came up with- similar to my last baby card.  Have a SUN SHINY DAY, EVERYONE!

SU Patterned Occasions

I wanted to use some of my Parker’s Patterns DSP before it retires next month. It is such a great DSP for masculine cards or kid/teenage cards. I love it- the colors go together so nicely. I used the Fab Friday # 17 sketch challenge to create this fun card:

SU Patterned Occasions Smarty Pants2
Did you notice how the jeans stamped with faded knees? I was not trying to make it look that way but when it stamped that way- I liked it!

SU I Am

Oh, this stamp set brings back fond memories of being surprised by my hubby who took me to my  first Stampin’ Up Convention in Salt Lake City last year even before I was a demonstrator! It was so much fun that he talked me into signing up with SU. I loved the theme song “I Am” that was played throughout the convention- how could I not jump right in? What a great time it has been meeting wonderful people in my community and online- I am so thankful for everyone who has come into my life;) This is how I feel about you all:

Guest Designer for CASology Challenge # 41 GIGGLE using SU So Many Scallops

Hello, everyone! I was so excited when I was asked to be the Guest Designer for  Week # 41 at CASology– a favorite site of mine;) Stop over to see what the amazing Design Team has created and play along.

Week 41 - GIGGLE

When I was given the cue word: GIGGLE, I immediately thought of  babies. Off  I went to search out my extremely limited baby stamp collection which consists of only single pieces out of  a few occasion stamp sets. Imagine how happy I was when I saw that SU So Many Scallops actually had the word GIGGLE on the baby stamp!  So, I went with it:

SU So Many Scallops 2

I had fun embellishing the card but still kept  it clean and simple with a main focal image surrounded by an abundant amount of white space. I layered a scalloped circle of pink CS  under the image- I think it adds a little something to the card;)
