Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Bundle and Birthday Jubilee Bundle

February 28, 2020

I combined two bundles in the Mini Catalog to make this card. I love the mix of neutral colors with the pop of pink and green. The great background lattice and the flowers/leaves come from the Birthday Jubilee Bundle.

There is also another lattice design in the die set that has an opening in the middle.

The other images in the Birthday Jubilee are so sweet, too.
I love the coordinating single flower and the flower spray:)

The sentiment and the labels come from the So Sentimental Bundle.
I love white embossing on black paper, don’t you?

I did cut down my card base to be 4-1/4″ x 5-1/8″ instead of 5-1/2″, and also cut my Basic Black panel down to 4″ x  4-7/8″. This just seemed to work well:)

Stampin’ Up! Rise and Shine with Cup of Cheer Dies

February 26, 2020

Oh, I just love this fund fold! I think it is called a Cascade Fun Fold.

Not hard to do at all…just watch this video:

The Rise and Shine Stamp Set will be available March 3 as a Sale-a-bration Gift with $100 purchase!

I made one card with the coffee drinker in mind.
(dang, why do I have a tea bag on the front, then? OMGosh!)

Now, close your eyes and imagine the cup without the tea bag (says Cindy laughing.)

But then, I am known to start with one and go to the other…
so maybe that’s what I was thinking?!?

I made another card with a tea bag inside a 3″ x 3″ envelope for the tea drinker.
Now, this is totally a tea card:)

How exciting that Sale-a-bration is in full swing…and NEW items are coming on March 3!

Measurements:
Basic Black Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 12″ cut as shown in video
From the Heart DSP: 3-3/4″ x 8″ cut as shown in video
Whisper White inside: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Scraps for Cup, tea bag tag, and Circles on front

February 2020 Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

February 24, 2020

My daughter and I got our February 2020 Paper Pumpkins!!! It is just darling!
Take a look at this video showing the kit:

Although the February 2020 Lovely Day Kit has INSTANT gratification with its contents, I made an alternative project made with items in the kit…a Spinner Card! And yes, I adhered the spinner circle to a stronger fishing line FIRST and THEN adhered the fishing line with the circle attached to the top and bottom of the opening with Tear & Tape under the fishing line and on top of the fishing line- held really well!

Last Wednesday’s video shows how to make a Spinner Card. On this card, since it already had an opening, I just placed a layering circle die (1-7/8″) that fit inside it so I knew how big to make my spinning circle- Photo 1. Then I placed the template on my card base front and traced the inside of the circle- Photo 1.  Then I put a larger circle (2-5/8″ ) that was bigger than the opening and smaller than the template on the right side- Photo 2. Then I removed the template and die cut the front of the card base- Photo 2. Then the template fits right in place and notice how the scallops show through on the back just perfectly in the photo above:)

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Bundle with Lasting Elegance Dies

February 21, 2020

I love gray and white together! I used the Lasting Elegance Dies along with the So Sentimental Bundle to create this simple elegant card. My intention was to make a wedding card for my stash but ended up with a friendship card:) I love that the Lasting Elegance Dies has that versatility.

I used a corner die on the inside which adds such a lovely touch.

The Last a Lifetime Stamp Set that is bundled with the Lasting Elegance Dies is just beautiful. Take a look:

But as you can see, the dies work well with any stamp set like I used on this card:)

Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter Spinner Card Video Tutorial

February 19, 2020

My friend Wendy is going to be a grandma again in August!!
I think I have to change the color to pink but I know this will be a winner…
or should I say “spinner?”

Here is a video on how easy it is to make…minus my fumbling around with the fishing line…I think I need a stronger line and should attach the blue circles to the fishing line FIRST and then attach the fishing line to the card on the top and bottom. I am saying this since I was too frazzled to do another video showing that! Remember that you can learn what not to do as much as what to do when you learn a new technique…lol.
