SU Crazy Mixed Up Love

I have fallen in love with the SU Crazy Mixed Up Love stamp set!  It has such neat little ideas for Valentine’s Day or year-round sharing of some love. I played along with Pals Paper Arts # 185 Sketch Challenge to make this CAS Valentine.

I used the luxurious SU Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon along with the Artisan Label Punch to come alongside the sweet little bee image.

Isn’t it funny how we find images of bees so adorable but fear them like crazy?

I used my Stampin’ Write markers to color my stamp image and punched out the little heart from the SU Owl Punch to add a pop of color to the bee wings. I also built up a black layer around the Artisan Label by simply punching out two and cutting each in half in opposite deirections. I then just adhered the four halves to each side of the Crushed Curry label. And, how could I not use the SU Honeycomb Embossing Folder?

SU Loving Thoughts

I loved Amy’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #117 and wanted to do it exactly the way it appeared but somehow ended up flipping it and supersizing it at the same time!

FMS Final 117-001

I had just finished a card for my upcoming Stamp Camp Luncheon on January 11th and had Coastal Cabana and Real Red on my desk so I went with it…

Sneak Peek of SU Petite Petals with SU Just Thinking

I haven’t played along with the Muse Card Club for a while now but love all the fantastic cards inspired by the Muse each week. I decided while my golfing family played 18 holes today, I would play with my stamps although they are strewn around in a big mess from the move. But I did get my paws on some fun new items coming up in the new Occasions catalog debuting on January 3rd – the SU Petite Petals and the coordinating punch! Oh my gosh, I just love this stamp set… and this is only one of the six flowers included in the set! And, of course, a punch to match- can’t ask for anything more.

I was inspired by Marion Vagg’s window card with clusters of posies but wanted to have ample space to write a message on the inside so I made a window on the front instead.

I used the ColourQ # 220 colors to make this card- boy, I think Summer Starfruit really mixes well with the Strawberry Slush, and Coastal Cabana. It isn’t one of my go-to colors usually, how do you think they look together?

SU Best New Year

Dynamic Duos cherry cobbler black

It’s time to start thinking of New Year’s Eve! How about decorating that bottle of champagne, wine, or sparkling juice you take to your host/hostess? I used Dynamic Duos #84 Black Tie with Cherry Cobbler and a dessert option of Sparkle to create this quick tag using the SU Best New Year Single Stamp from the Holiday Catalog. It is a stamp only used for one day but how unbelievably great to have year after year- I am glad I picked it on my last order;)
