Cutting it close to the deadline for The Paper Players Challenge 110…

The Paper Players Challenge ends in 20 minutes but I wanted to try their challenge this week.

I used all SU products that included the Ronald McDonald Charities stamp set Moving Forward. A portion of the purchase price for this set is donated to the charity.

I did another challenge with Pals Paper Arts #141.

I find it amazing how a nudge from a sketch challenge can make me see things I may not have tried before with a stamp set or accessories.

My surprise was more than I expected…

We had such a fun time at the Stampin’ Up Convention! The General Sessions were awesome. To see my husband genuinely interested in my hobby was wonderful. We both strolled the halls going to workshops, looking at the displays, and watching the demonstrations of products. Jim found his creative side and made his first card that he ultimately sent to my bestie stamping pal Wendy’s husband who truly appreciated it.

… a Birthday Surprise leads me here…

Imagine the look on my face when I opened my birthday gift this year from my husband to find a card I made!  But an even bigger surprise lurked inside the card…a handmade gift certificate  for two with the  words “Stampin’ Up Convention 2012- Salt Lake City ” on it. I was amazed but not entirely surprised at  his generous gift (he’s such a sweetheart) ! I immediately thought the tickets were for me and my bestie stamping pal, Wendy. But I was wrong and even more astonished  that HE was going!!
