When I saw Freshly Made Sketches # 79, I knew I wanted to use the SU Delicate Doilies Sizzlet my friend, Wendy, gave to me. I played tic-tac-toe with Jaydee of The Paper Players #139 to come up with this card:
I did not put a sentiment on yet because it just looked so pristine without one on the front- so I will add it to the inside when I am ready to use the card.
STAMPS: SU Pleasant Poppies
INK: SU Basic Black, SU Barely Banana marker, SU Certainly Celery marker
PAPER: SU Basic Black, SU Barely Banana, SU Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: SU Pearls, random matching ribbon
TOOLS: SU Needlepoint Border EF, SU Delicate Doilies Sizzlet, SU Stripes EF
Since this card is clean and simple due to its monochromatic color, and I used the Embossed scallop below the ribbon- I am linking it to the Lucky Dip over at Less is More challenge blog.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I was given the SU Crosses of Hope as a timely gift;) The CASology # 37 cue word is HOPE this week. This set not only has HOPE in the name but also offers HOPE to all we believe in the Cross. I chose the specific colors to represent how the cross offers HOPE. The black signifies the sin we all have in our heart, the red stands for the blood of Christ that cleanses the black sin, and the abundant white space is the total and complete forgiveness of the black sin in our lives if we allow Christ in…
STAMPS: SU Crosses of Hope, PTI Fresh Alphabet
INK: SU Real Red, SU Basic Black
PAPER: SU Basic Black, SU Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: SU Stampin’ Dimensionals

I loved the colors for Colour Q # 182 this week and thought of flowers at first. Then I couldn’t get my mojo running with it. Thought about the colors some more and took a look at The Paper Players # 138 this week for more inspiration. Looked through my stamps for a set that has been neglected and decided to use SU One in a Million. I am always asked if I have any baby cards so that’s how I came to this…
STAMPS: SU One in a Million, Fiskars New Baby
INK: SU Pool Party, SU Always Artichoke, SU Lucky Limeade, SU Whisper White
PAPER: SU Wisteria Wonder, SU Pool Party, SU Always Artichoke, SU Lucky Limeade
ACCESSORIES: random purple baker’s twine (did not have SU WW)
TOOLS: SU Modern Label Punch, SU 1 3/4 in. Circle Punch, Nestabilities Circle die
Ardyth Percy-Robb’s bright birthday card for MUSE Card Club #10 inspired me to use bright colors, circles, and Happy Birthday to boot!
I wanted to use a set I got as a gift but I didn’t want to just put the “happy” over the circles. So I die cut it and then put black behind it and replaced the cut outs. Once again, I have had this gift for quite a while and finally put it to use;) Happy Me!!
Here’s a close-up:
STAMPS: PTI Wonderful Words Additions and die, PTI Borders and Corners (circles)
INK: SU Only Orange, SU Melon Mambo, SU Green Galore, SU Daffodil Delight
PAPER: SU Whisper White, SU Basic Black
TOOLS: PTI Wonderful Words Die, SU Stampin’ Dimensionals
The main concept of a simple horizontal “space” is also the challenge at Seize the Birthday #11 -Masculine so I am linking up there too!
