Stampin’ UP! All Squared Away

October 29, 2021

Here’s a couple of cheerful cards…

Both cards are essentially the same. I stamped the square design images and then adhered the die cut over each square. Then I cut around each die cut square with my paper snips. On the card below, I added a 1-1/8″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Basic White card stock underneath the sentiment I cut out with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

On this next card below, I cut out the sentiment with one of the rectangles on the Picture This Dies. I like the cool stitching on it.

I am not sure which one I prefer- the top one or the bottom one. How about you?

Stampin’ UP! Christmas Season Bundle with Heartfelt Wishes Opposite Matching Triangles Design Video Tutorial

October 27, 2021

Another fun way to show off some gorgeous Stampin’ UP! Designer Series Paper- the Opposite Matching Triangles Design Layout…you can do them in portrait and landscape position!

The Stampin’ UP! Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper pairs wonderfully with the Christmas Tidings DSP with the rich colors of Evening Evergreen and Real Red. The Sheer Real Red Ribbon is a nice touch to embellish the front label.

Although it is soooo easy to make, it is still a worthwhile video to watch to see some cool tips…

You know I love the Stampin’ UP! Heartfelt Wishes…the larger font makes a dramatic effect on the inside of these cards.

Measurements: Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side for both portrait and landscape cards, Real Red Border Panel and inside Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″, DSP: 3-3/4″ x 5″ (one piece if patterns on both sides coordinate well or 2 pieces if you need to use two different patterns to coordinate best), Basic White scraps for pinecones and label

Stampin’ UP! Forever Fern

October 25, 2021

I got a thank you card from my sweet friend, Carly. Oh, and I got to see her beautiful little 4 month old daughter Reagan for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I loved the simple design of the card with a touch of gold, and it kept popping up in my mind.

I finally pulled out my Stampin’ UP! Forever Fern and put my spin on the design using my stamping stuff! I used Soft Succulent ink and card stock with a Very Vanilla Card base. I stamped and heat embossed one of the images in gold and added some Gilded Gems. It’s hard to capture the sheen of the embossing. The sentiment comes from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set.

Do you ever get inspired by cards you get that are mass produced (not hand-made) and think I can make one like that? I take pics all the time of things that inspire me- I think I may start sharing them:)

Stampin’ UP! Nature’s Harvest Bundle

October 22, 2021

I went to a Stampin’ Bingo with some fellow Florida demonstrators last Saturday. We had a good time- first time together for a loooong time! We made a card with the Stampin’ UP! Nature’s Harvest Bundle that inspired me to create this one with the same color scheme.

I loved coloring the flower in Light Soft Suede with Dark Daffodil and some Pumpkin Pie Blends. The touch of Pumpkin Pie on the flower allowed me to coordinate that color in the sentiment and hole in the tag. Those Tailor Made Tags are the bomb along with the Scalloped Contour Dies. Very Vanilla was a good choice to stamp the images and sentiment on. I love Very Vanilla but it seems I have been using mostly Basic White since a lot of DSP is coordinating with white these days. I also love the sentiment…A reminder to never forget how much you mean to me and so many others…how lovely is that?
