It’s not too early for Christmas cards, friends…in fact, I know a lot of gals who have theirs done already! I made my first one of the year using the Forever Fern Bundle and the Many Medallions Dies coming out on JUNE 3 in the NEW Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
I used a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat stamp set that is carrying over into the NEW catalog. The ribbon is retired but it was Shaded Spruce with gold in it! It’s hard to see in the photo but I embossed the white stitched rectangle with the Pinewood Planks Folder.
The Real Red panel under the white Many Medallions die cut is cut to 4″ x 5-3/16″. It fits perfectly although the top part is not adhered as well in the photo! Bad CindyLeeBee:(
This was actually super easy to make with its clean and simple layering.
Ah, I love the sunflowers…from the NEW Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle
coming out on June 3, 2020!
Watch this video to see how to make two cards when you essentially design one card…
A LANDSCAPE orientation above and a PORTRAIT orientation below with decorated insides to show off the beautiful sunflowers in the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.
The Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder jazzes up the Very Vanilla space on the card quite nicely if I do say so myself:)
Card Base: Portrait 4-1/4″ x 11 or Landscape 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2 both scored in half
Garden Green: 4″ x 5-1/4″- cut leaves from the panel before covering with Embossed panel
Very Vanilla: 5″ x 8″ outside, 4″ x 5-1/4″ for inside
Crushed Curry: 3-1/2″ x 7″
NEW 2020-21 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog coming up!
I will let you in on a little secret I figured out AFTER I made the video…you can also emboss a 3-3/4″ x 5″ Very Vanilla panel and adhere to the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Garden Green panel. Stamp and die cut two sunflowers and cut in half with scissors and place on the upper or left side of the card! But…hey, we got to spend a few minutes together today!
I was a artist a few weeks back…the Stampin’ Up! My Meadow made me feel like one, for sure:)
Can I say again how much I love the Stampin’ Up! Thanks for the Laughs stamp set!!!! This one will never leave my shelf even though it is retiring. I think it is one of the best sentiment sets I have….yes, I really do LOVE it!!!
I love the brightness of Poppy Parade. I am so glad we have Poppy Parade along with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. So many times, I just need the perfect red…and I have three!
Ha! a stamp free card…only die cuts!!! This is a great card to let someone know you are thinking of them and missing them…shout out to all my peeps in PA and FLA- miss you terribly over the last two months! Praise the Lord for social media during this social distancing. Hugs to you all! Thank you for all the encouragement from blog followers who I know over the internet without even meeting face-to face…friends who make the day brighter!!
Oh, I had fun designing this NEW Stampin’ Up! Birds and Branches card with
the NEW Lovely Labels Pick a Punch both available on JUNE 3, 2020.
Here are a few tips to create the opening on the front panel of the card
and using the NEW Lovely Labels Pick a Punch:
Create a nicely finished inside using the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circles Dies.
Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on 11″ side
Inside panels: 4″ x 5-1/4″
DSP: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Layering Circle for cutting DSP: 3″
Layering Circle inside Scallop: 2-5/8″
Layering Scallop around around 2-5/8″ circle: 3″
Cut strips for punching sentiments 1/4″ longer than the sentiment
Border around strip with sentiment should be 1/4″ longer than sentiment strip
