Stampin’ Up Beautiful Baubles in

Oh, when I started putting this together, I did not realize how stunning the paper with the ornaments would be…
my intention was to put whisper white behind the foil ornaments but when I was adjusting the ribbon on the paper,
I said “oh, I like how I can see through them!

Talk about clean and simple…and I cut out the ornaments from the gold foil behind the DSP so that was economical with the Gold Foil:)))

Those cute little bows are found in the Bouquet Bunch Framelits…just the right size!

Stampin’ Up A Big Thank You Foldover DSP Video Tutorial

Now for some eye candy….

I had fun making this cute Foldover Designer Series Paper card.

A little history on the designing of this…I was playing around with folding my cardstock back on the front as I have done before for something different and adding a strip of DSP to the inside but then thought I wanted to showcase this absolutely gorgeous DSP more.

You know how it is with DSP, you either hoard it and use little strips here and there or just go all out and use a *ouch* huge piece!  So, I decided cut my 12″ x 12″ piece into (3) 4″ by 10-1/2″ pieces and do a fun fold of DSP on the front. But needed to give it some support so I mounted it on a 1/4 sheet of cardstock and made a place for the inside greeting! See how much of the DSP you can show off? It is a great use of the DSP- three cards from sheet!

Tip: cut the 1-1/2″ piece off first from the 12″ x 12″ to make it 10-1/2″.
That way, you have a 1-1/2″ x 12″ piece to use later on either a landscape of a portrait card:)

Stampin’ Up Healing Hugs

I made a sweet Get Well card using the SU Healing Hugs stamp set.

Here is a close up of the gold metallic thread and sequins.

I even got fancy and did the inside!

To get the leaves to be behind the flower I used a masking technique.
Here are a few pics of the steps.

First, you stamp a flower on a sticky note and then fussy cut it out.

Next you stamp the flower on the panel.

Next, place the mask over the stamped flower and stamp the leaves and another flower.

Use the mask again on the other flower so you can stamp leaves that appear to be under the flower again.
To be honest, since my mask was not absolutely perfect when I stamped the second flower- see the vanilla space between the flowers above?
I just figured out a way to cover it. And that boo-boo became a great element of the card, don’t you think?

I used the Lakeside Framelits to die cut the sentiment.
I wanted it shorter so I just cut it and then laid it closer to the right end and die cut it again:) I also used the Petals and More Thinlits to make the lattice detailed die cut under the sentiment.

SU I’ll Be Home

November 23, 2018

I finally inked up my SU I’ll Be Home stamp set. I used the lovely wood grain in the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.
I  was going to use Cherry Cobbler or Real Red but instead paired the Gray Granite with Blackberry Bliss. I like it!

I love the big image of the house but our Layering Ovals just aren’t big enough for this one. So, I used my retired Ovals Framelits.
I imagine we all have them so just know this image worked well in the next to the largest oval.
I used a sentiment from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and die cut it with a small die from the Stitched Labels Framelits.

I added some glitz with Clear Wink of Stella on the roof lines and windows but it is sooooo hard to show it in a pic!

And even more difficult to photograph is the silver card I did.
It was embossed in silver with silver foil accents bordering it.
I promise you..it is stunning in person.
