I had my Stampin’ UP! Plentiful Plants Bundle and some Paper Lattice on my desk preparing for my upcoming Product Class. I got a little sidetracked and ended up with this card…
I love the stamp images in this set…and the Stampin’ UP! Celebrating You stamp set in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog…take a look at all the sentiments. I actually used it four times this weekend!
I have a fun inlay technique for you using the Stampin’ UP! Amazing Thanks Dies. The Inlay Technique is cool since it gives just a little more interest instead of just laying the die on top of the cardstock. I also found it was easier to do an inlay to line up the word amazing.
I have to say, it was hard for me to make a CAS card- I am usually into fun folding and lots of layering. It felt good to make a CAS one. It’s simple but I made a video showing how I did this technique with the word die:)
Add some cute little embellishments to dress up this clean and simple card. I used some retired Glitter Enamel Dots that are Gorgeous Grape.
Measurements: Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on 8-1/2″ side, Gorgeous Grape: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 1/8″ x 5″ strip, Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″, (5) 1″ by 2″ strips of various colors of cardstock
I finally got the Stampin’ UP! Windmill Fields Dies on the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine this weekend. The poor little dies thought I forgot about them but I didn’t…
I used the CAS sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #526 this week. The colors in the New Horizons Designer Series Paper and the little fence posts created the two distinct areas on the background.
Little story about the gold fence posts…I grabbed a strip of white paper off my cutting area to die cut my fences. I stacked them in a pile on my crafting desk and went to finish another project. I was designing a sampler for an upcoming class and needed a piece of gold foil I knew was also on my cutting area. I looked everywhere for that gold foil strip…then finally gave up and cut into a 12″ x 12″ piece. Fast Forward a half hour later to finish up my Windmill card…only to find when I turned over the white fence to put glue on it- it was the gold foil strip I had cut into!!!! Dang, I was not going to waste that gold foil…and it actually had a brushed texture to it from the well used acrylic plate…a Gilded Gem added to the middle of the windmill blades pulled it all together:)) Oh, my fun filled Saturday nights…
A simple sentiment from the Stampin’ UP! Flowering Fields stamp set finished off the inside of the card.
I love when a card comes together this fast…and is simply stunning!
The card base is Basic Gray with green leaves and wood grain patterns from the Stampin’ UP! Heart and Home DSP. I put a Heart and Home Doily under the middle panel- it is the white side- see you not only have Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, and but white, too! The sweet sentiment, the gorgeous flowers, and the cute little bee come from the Stampin’ UP! Heart and Home Memories and More Card Pack. The little rhinestones are the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
