Stampin’ UP! Shaded Summer with Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder Techniques Video Tutorial

August 3, 2022

I just did a fun technique I came across called the Carved Wood Technique. It is super cool look!

All you need is a Scoring Tool, an embossing folder and some ink.

Take a look at my video showing how to do the Carved Wood Technique and the Wax Paper Emboss Resist Techniques:

The Wax Paper Emboss Resist Technique is a fun one, too. You run a piece of wax paper through an embossing folder and then place it between two pieces of cardstock. Then you iron it with no steam. The wax transfers onto the card stock and then resists the ink when it is sponged on!

The butterflies from the Stampin’ UP! Brilliant Wings Dies are a perfect accent to the clean and simple backgrounds. And the butterflies come in the Tic Tac Toe Challenge 172 diagonal from top left to bottom right Floral.

Measurements: Both card bases are 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side, Carved Wood panel is 4″ x 5-1/4″ scored every 1/2″ on the 4″ side, Wax Paper Emboss Resist White border: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and embossed panel is 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

  1. Thanks for the new techniques, Cindy! They make great looking cards. I will be trying both of these out!

  2. What cool techniques Cindy! I love both these cards but especially the first which really does look as if it’s been handcarved from wood. Thank you for coming to play with us at Tic Tac Toe! Vicky x
