Stampin’ UP! Attention Shoppers with Pocket Thoughts Dies Gatefold Gift Card Holder Video Tutorial

June 19, 2024

Here is a fun Gatefold Card that turned into a Gift Card Holder using the Stampin’ UP! Pocket Thoughts Dies. The stamps come from the fun Stampin’ UP! Attention Shoppers.

So easy to make…here are some tips:

I used my retired Layering Circle Dies and also my Stylish Shapes Dies on the front of the card along with the NEW Dotted Circles Embossing Folder.

I used the smallest die in the Stampin’ UP! Thoughtful Pocket Dies on the front and the medium one on the inside of the card. The one below uses the Summer Splash DSP.

The one below has the Shy Shamrock DSP.

Measurements: Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 10-1/4″ scored at 2-1/8″, 3-5/8″, 6-5/8″, and 8-1/8″ on the 10-1/4″ side, Stamped White Panel: 5-1/4″ x 6-1/2″ and then cut from left to right into 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″, 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″, and 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ pieces, Belly Band: Petunia Pop 1-1/4″ x 10″ and embossed strip 1″ x 8″, Stylish Shapes Circles: Petunia Pop 2-1/2″ circle and Pink and white inside: 2-1/4″

Stampin’ UP! Mediterranean Blooms DSP meets Alphabet a la Mode Dies and Cindy can’t spell in Italian…

June 17, 2024

My daughter had a shower invitation on her fridge for a few months…it instantly reminded me of the Stampin’ UP! Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. So, I snapped a pic…

My daughter mentioned she needed some tissue paper for the gift bag…and I remembered I wanted to make her baby shower card…but she was coming over in an hour…and I had not really been in my craft room for about 11 days…but look what I came up with…OMGosh!! I spelled it wrong!!!!!!! OMGosh!!! I should have checked the invite…I googled Caio…and it came up CAIO so I thought I was correct…OMGosh!!!

Well, I guess they will for sure remember this card forever!

The navy, yellow, and green were so rich! I was so happy how it turned out. Actually, I was considering this one was super especially since I was working under pressure. And the three quick snapshots came out so crisp and clear! I used the Wildflower Designs Dies and the Magnolia Mood Dies for the leaves. And, the Stampin’ UP! Alphabet a la Mode Dies were perfect with the design:) And, to think I was so proud of my card…I SPELLED IT WRONG! What a doofus! I only noticed this AFTER the card posted and I was checking if it did post! OMGosh!

I love how the card went with the theme! At least I spelled BABY right!

Stampin’ UP! Spotlight on Nature Bundle

June 14, 2024

Here is one of the cards included in my May 2024 Busy Bee Bag featuring the Spotlight on Nature Bundle. For just $40, along with 8 card kits, I included a full pack of the New 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack and the In Color 2024-2026 Shimmer Gems. My Busy Bees were able to add on the Spotlight on Nature (which many did) but some opted to use their own supplies which is great! I specifically design for not only the featured stamps etc. but also any other products!

Here are the written instructions in the tutorial for this one card in the kit. There were three more card designs in this kit with written instructions, too.

  1. Cut the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Summer Splash Card Stock into two 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ pieces for the card bases.
  2. Cut the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock into two 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ pieces. Score the Basic Black pieces at 2-3/4″ on the 5-1/2″ side to make the folded card on the front of the card.
  3. Cut a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Pretty in Pink Deisgner Series Paper and adhere to the Summer Splash Card Base.
  4. Adhere the Black folded card to the middle of the DSP on the front.
  5. Adhere the 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Basic White Card Stock embossed with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder to the front of the Black folded card.
  6. Stamp leaves in Summer Splash ink and a sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink to the 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Basic White Card Stock and adhere to the inside of the Black folded card.
  7. Stamp a butterfly in black ink on one the 1-3/4″ punched white circle and a flower on the other punched white circle in black ink. Color the images with Pretty in Pink and Summer splash ink. Adhere these two stamped white circles to the two Pretty in Pink die cuts from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle.
  8. Adhere the circles to the front of the embossed card on the front.
  9. Cut a 5″ square from a Summer Splash DSP and fold in half one way and then fold in half the opposite way so you have a piece of DSP with four squares made from the folds.
  10. Cut out one of the squares out of the DSP and fold the outer tip of the square opposite from the cut out square into the middle point where all the squares meet. Fold the other squares around and adhere them together leaving the half triangle flap un-glued so it can slip on the black card on the front. You can see all this in the video.
  11. Scatter some In Color Embellishments on the card.

Stampin’ UP! Layering Leaves Stamp Set with Bough Punch

June 10, 2024

Hello, friends! I am recovering from a surgery last week that requires some rest so I am out of my stamp room for a bit. I thought it might be fun to show you a few of the cards that were in my Busy Bee Bags over the last few months- not all of them- just a few so you can see what I design for them:) and perhaps try one! Here is one from the October 2024 Busy Bee Bag using the Layering Leaves Stamp Set and the Bough Punch. I included 8 card kits along with a 1/2 pack of the Garden Walk DSP, a full pack of Blooming Pearls, and a full pack of the Calypso Coral Braided Linen Twine. You can replace the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper with any kind you have on hand as the stamp and punch are current. It is one of my favorite bundles!

Here are the written instructions in the tutorial for this one card in the kit. There were three more card designs in this kit with written instructions, too.

  1. Score card base at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side to create a portrait card.
  2. Cut a 3-3/4″ square from your chosen Garden Walk DSP. If you want one pattern showing, cut one piece. If you want two patterns showing, cut two patterns face up as seen left photo above and video for example.
  3. Place the 3-3/4″ square on the paper trimmer and slide upper right corner over 3/4″ or 1″ (depending how much room you need for your sentiment) on the left side of the cutting groove. While it is in place, slide the bottom left corner to the right side of the cutting groove to that same measurement (3/4″ or 1″). See photo on right above.
  4. Cut the DSP and adhere strips of Wild Wheat on the middle edges and adhere to the 4″ x 5-1/4″ white panel leaving a space to stamp the sentiment.
  5. Stamp or add punched leaves to the side of the sentiment.
  6. Stamp some leaves or add a strip of DSP to the inside of the bottom of the card.

Every Busy Bee Bag has a video and a PDF of the Written Instructions with photos included.
