Oh, I have wanted to make one of these Shutter/Aperature Cards for a long time. I thought is was really complicated but it is NOT! I used the beautiful Stampin’ UP! Sophisticated Sled Bundle found in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES on the Stampin’ UP! website.

The front shows off the adorable die cut sled, foliage and ice skates found in the companion Sophisticated Sled Dies. But, you can also do all the decorating with images, too! It is one of those bundles that is so versatile- feel like stamping and coloring- go ahead- or just do some die cutting!

Here is a video showing how not only how I can get glue all over my fingers and my project while making a card but also how easy it is to make this WOW interactive card…

The interactive part is really quite simple. I like using my scoring tool and a ruler to make the shutter mechanism on the inside.

I can not wait to make a vintage card with bundle….but love the Stampin’ UP! Take a Bow Designer Series Paper with its traditional Christmas red and greens:) Every time I used my adhesive remover eraser thingy on my skates, I think I got more gummy stuff on them. Consider them scuffed up from wear!

Measurements: Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″ on the 8-1/2″ side, Inside panel (green with DSP) with 2-3/8″ circle die cut: 3″ x 5-1/2″, Shutter mechanism: (2) 3-1/2″ x 4″ then scored and cut as seen in video, DSP on front: (2) 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ and inside 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″, White inside under shutter mechanism: 2-3/4″ x 5″

Oh, I just love house images so the Stampin’ UP! Humble Home is just up my alley! When I first saw the bundle in the NEW Mini September- December 2024 catalog, I immediately thought about a little birdhouse. I don’t think I have seen any online yet using it as a birdhouse…

My little bird flew over from my Stampin’ UP! Beach Day Bundle. You can use any little bird you have! I used a White Gel Pen to add some gingerbread icing. I used the handle for the wagon in the Filled with Fun Stamp Set for the post holding up the birdhouse. Again, any image with a straight light on it will work. A sweet little Real Red twine bow finished off this simple card. I miss having Baker’s Twine in all colors- it’s a simple embellishment with little bulk but adds detail.

I did stamp off the heart on the inside so I could stamp words on it. But I think you could stamp full strength ink and stamp words underneath, too. Or you could pop up words on a die cut.

The Merriest Trees Bundle is awesome! The dies are amazing…you can make so many different sized trees and also layer them. You can stamp the layers and die cut or die cut DSP layers.
