I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving Day. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with a table set for 16- delicious food and family fun with five littles under four keeping it lively! I cooked a 14 lb. Butterball turkey packaged ready to cook raw from frozen- it was so easy to prep- just remove the bird from package and pop in oven. It cooked perfectly and was so juicy! Thankful that my body is feeling much better since my fall a week ago- was able to do some work in the craft room this morning. But, I had to share the exquisite card I got from my sweet friend, Debbi Muche.

Debbi colored the birds so pretty and the floral spray on the card. The rich Cherry Cobbler card base against the Basic Beige embossed Birch 3D is the perfect background for the array of colors. I love how she used Crumb Cake for the sentiment using the Christmas Labels Bundle.

Look how clever the little flap is for writing your name… you can also add a panel on the backof the card for a longer message.

Hello, friends! Just a quick little card i made before I went to bed to prepare for the big week ahead! Family coming from Pittsburgh to visit for the week, hopefully, will get to rest a bit since I had a little fall on Friday- one of those less than graceful stumbling at full speed after tripping and then landing like a football player holding the ball. Thankfully, when I tripped on the cement driveway, I fell about 8 feet away into the grass as I stumbled and didn’t use my arms to break the fall. No broken bones or ribs, just super sore from some pulled muscles in the right side of my chest and side. It’s funny, I can do almost everything but the times I move in certain directions like leaning down to grab something or getting out of a chair, it hurts like a dickens. It will just take a bit of time for the muscles to heal. Thanking Jesus I was not holding one of my new granddaughters when I tripped as I was leaving from watching my daughter’s two year old and 3 month old to go to my son’s to babysit my four year old, three year old and one month old granddaughters. Lily was celebrating her actual due date as she was a month early. She is a little peanut. Needless to say, I was pretty worked up when I left and arrived. Thankfully, the second shift of babysitting I had Poppy to help!

I paper pieced the umbrella and popped it up on the card. I just love that little pup-she reminds me of Lucy, my grand dog. I only used one die on the card from the Stampin’ UP! Umbrella Days- the grass die that I cut down a bit to fit in the Perennial Postage Die.

You know, there is always a new In Color ink that gets ignored…and for me, it was Peach Pie. It is pretty, I am glad I paired it with Shy Shamrock, another color I haven’t used much but is really pretty, too!

I love any hybrid embossing folder. I mean, all you have to do is stamp and then die cut and emboss at the same time! And even without stamping, the embossed die cuts are just so cool. I even added some embossing to the inside.

Here is the video I promised on how to make a Starburst card. And I did it a little different on the card on the right. I just felt like it needed a pop.

It is easy to make. You need four 1-1/2″ x 6″ pieces of different patterns and colors. You cut each one in half diagonally from one corner to the other corner to get eight right triangles. You can lay them on top of each other, and cut more than one at a time. Take a look:
