What a nice surprise!

Here is one of the fun card my Busy Bees will make in the July 2025 Busy Bee Bags. It’s so cute that I wanted to share it with you!

The pocket was made with a 3″ x 5″ piece of DSP that I stretched to 3-3/4″ wide so you can make two cards out of one 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP. I do a video that comes with the Busy Bee Bag and also explain how to do this in the PDF Instructions. The instruction for this card looked like this in the PDF with photos included:

1. Fold the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Petal Pink Card Stock at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side.
2. Adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Secret Sea striped DSP to the front of the card.
3. Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White for the inside of the card.
4. As seen in video, place the DSP with the wavy pattern going horizontally. Cut it into two 3″ wide x 6″ long pieces and place them on top of each other. Trim off (at the same time) 1″ on the bottoms to make each 3″ x 5″.
5. You now have two 3″ by 5″ pieces that are essentially identical. On one piece, cut diagonally from the top left to the bottom right to get two right triangles. On the other 3″ x 6″ piece, cut from the top right to the bottom left to again make two right triangles.
6. As seen in video, take one triangle from each piece to make one card, and the remaining triangles to make another card. You will notice how one triangle from each piece will match up to create the pocket when you slide the points together.
7. To make the pocket, line up the waves on the triangles on each card and stretch them to a width of 3-3/4″ and adhere them together at the bottom where they meet. Make sure not to get any adhesive past where they meet so it does not get attached to the striped DSP when you put pocket on the front. To put the pocket on, adhere a very thin line of adhesive along the sides and bottom of the pocket leaving the space for the pull out.
8. To make the pull out piece, adhere the 1″ x 3″ strip of striped DSP to the top of the 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White card stock. Fold over the 1″ circle of Daffodil Delight over the striped DSP and punch a hole to run some linen thread to pull out the piece you can write a message on or adhere a gift card.
9. Adhere the Petal Pink wavy circle under the “v” part of the pocket. Adhere the 2″ Cajun Craze circle on top of the Petal Pink. Stamp on the 1-7/8″ white circle and adhere to the Cajun Craze circle. Color in the bow:)
10. Insert the pull out into the pocket.

Here is a sweet card for you today using the Stampin’ UP! Sweet Jar Bundle…what a cute set to play with! I used the Stampin’ UP! Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper for the bakery awning:) Some retired Pecan Pie DSP made a cute little tablecloth, too.

The Everyday Arches were used to make the awning complete with stitching! I carried over the retired DSP to the inside as well with a sweet little sentiment surrounded by hearts in the set.
