Stampin’ UP! Gorgeous Leaves Bundle and September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Haunts and Harvest

November 12, 2021

Ever have a sheet of Designer Series Paper that is a big print that seems hard to use on a card? I thought this about the autumn leaf covered trees in the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. It had trees with trunks that ran into the center of the 12 x 12 paper. It was pretty but I wondered how to cut it. But in the end, I just cut it into 3″ x 4″ pieces, and they all worked in either portrait or landscape position! I made a bunch with my September 2021 Paper Pumpkin “Haunts and Harvests” kit. I then made one with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle, too.

I loved how the Stampin’ UP! Gorgeous Leaves Bundle worked wonderfully with this paper.

I used a sentiment from the Stampin’ UP! Many Messages. I just love that branch die in the Stampin’ UP! Intricate Leaves Dies!

Stampin’ UP! Eden’s Garden Video Tutorial

November 10, 2021

I CASED my friend Janet’s card using the Stampin’ UP! Eden’s Garden Bundle. Now that I see the photo, it seems I put it together a little crooked-ty…lol.

Take a look to see how I “C-A-S-E-D” Janet’s card with a few tips I use included:

See the differences in the cards- I embossed the right side of the Soft Succulent panel on the front and extended the DSP and the Gold Foil to the edge of that panel. I also changed up the ribbon to the gold trim in the Simply Elegant Trim since I did not have any of that ribbon but it will on my next order- it is gorgeous!!

I love how Janet did the inside of the card…just cut two die cuts, one in white and one in green, and pop the white inside the green one.

Measurements: Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side, Soft Succulent panel outside and Basic White inside 4″ x 5-1/4″, DSP: 2″ x 5-1/4″, Tag: 2-1/2″ x 5″, Gold Foil: strip 1/8″ x 5-1/4″ and die cut 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″

Stampin’ UP! Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle with Picture This Dies

November 8, 2021

Oh, sunflowers are so beautiful, aren’t they? I pulled out my Stampin’ UP! Celebrate Sunflowers and one of the Picture This Dies and came up with these cards. I did place the largest of the Stampin’ UP! Stitched Rectangles around the Picture This Die to get a finished look but it is not necessary. Now, my first idea was to highlight the smaller sunflower and leave the larger stamped sunflowers uncolored as a design element along with the amazing real Cork Specialty Paper.

My next idea was to add a longer sentiment into the middle stitched opening of the Stampin’ UP! Picture This Dies which left me without a place to place the smaller colored sunflower so I added color to the larger sunflowers and placed some leaves around the sentiment. I stamped and colored the small sunflower on the inside.

You can use the other longer sentiment in the Stampin’ UP! Celebrate Sunflowers, too:)

Notice the great stitching on the middle slot of the Picture This Dies? The dies create a stitching on the inside and the outside. I actually colored the flowers and layered the cork die cut over them. Next time, I think I will stamp the sunflowers, die cut the rectangles out, and then color the sunflowers inside the rectangles and then put them back into the open rectangles so I would have stitching on both parts! Not only does this show the cute stitching but then you only need to color what you would see inside the rectangles.

The Stampin’ UP! Picture This Dies has two dies in the set…note that they do not cut out a rectangle around them- only the rectangles and circles. You just precut your card stock (or DSP, Specialty Paper) to the size you need before you cut the shapes out.
