Here is Heidi’s Friday MashUp # 167 this week. Don’t you just love her creations?
Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a Project with a “Watercolor Wash.”
Create a “CAS project or one with Minimal Layers.”
or Mash it Up! and create a “CAS project with a Watercolor Wash.”
I have to say I struggled with this technique for a while. Everyone’s cards look so beautiful and every time I “washed” away with my aqua painter, I realized I was not a watercolor artist! Thank you SU for your new markers and blender pens! I finally, got something I was satisfied with when I used some darker colors. Then, I set out to make it clean and simple. Again, I was just feeling a bit stumped but then, that’s why it is called a challenge, right? Well, here is what I came up with…
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Serene Silhouettes, SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
INK: SU Marina Mist, SU Wild Wasabi, Stazon Jet Black
PAPER: Watercolor Paper, SU Wild Wasabi, SU Basic Black
TOOLS: SU Ovals, SU Word Window Punch, SU Lattice EF
Beautiful, calming, truly embraces a sympathetic heart and message.
Thank you, Jodi. That tree always reminds me of sympathy.
I LOVE your card, Cindy!!! I think it is beautiful!!! Your water coloring looks gorgeous! The colors are so soothing!!!
Thanks so much, Claire:) I am glad it worked out as a soothing card.
I for one think you rocked this challenge Cindy! I love the green and black together and I think the embossing helps highlighting the color wash wonderfully!
Thank you, Lisa- you are so kind!
I think it’s beautiful! The background to the tree is just so soft and serene! I love it!
