SU Flowering Fields with Wildflower Fields DSP

Here are two different versions of a card we made at class this week using

two Sale-a-bration 2016 freebies- the stamp set SU Flowering Fields

and the coordinating Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.

It is hard to see but Wink of Stella glitter adorns the flowers for a little extra…oh!

You can punch out the Modern Label border (retired) that is around the sentiment in the inside from the panel on the front before adhering the DSP since it will be covered by the DSP. I like to do this so I don’t ruin my card at the end if I flub up the inside stamping. The sentiment and butterflies come from the SU Project Life You’re So Lovely stamp set. At class, we had a variety of sentiments to use in the banner thanks to the SU Tin of Cards stamp set and the new SU Number of Years stamp set. We even threw in a few others from the new SU Helping Me Grow set, too!

I was inspired by a card designed by Linda Heller at our Demonstrator Get together.

SU Rose Wonder Bundle

Another clean and simple card with a WOW using the SU Rose Wonder Bundle.
I am sharing it with Karren and the gang over at Freshly Made Sketches # 221.

I think although the sentiment is off to the right, it is still just as prominent
as the big rose since it it pops off of the white background:)

The Elegant Dots embossing folder provides just the perfect backdrop to place the rose on, don’t you think? Just add any of the sentiments off to the side, and you are done! A simple stamping of the rose and leaves finishes off the inside.

To fill in the color behind the black lines of the die cut rose and leaves on the front, you just stamp the image like you see above on the inside of the card on pieces of red and green cardstock. Then you cut out the rose and leaves as close to the lines as you can. Then place glue on the back of the black die cut and place it over the stamped lines!

Once again, SU has outdone itself with this Bundle- the stamp set has such a variety of sentiments and images and the framelits- they could stand alone by themselves!
