SU Christmas Quilt for a Friend

November 22, 2017

Last night when I headed to bed, I said to myself, “Don’t go into that stamping room- it’s time for bed!” I mostly thought this because I knew it was a mess, and I would start cleaning it up! However, I did not heed my own call and ended up in the stamping room. However, while I was tidying up, I looked down at my Smitten Mittens stamp set and saw an image that jumped out at me. Why had I not noticed it before?

When your turn it just a tad to the left or right, it looks like it should be in the Christmas Quilt stamp set!
So, of course, I had to stamp it, die cut it, and put it on a card…

The card was super easy to make. Instead of using the square in the framelit set, I started with a 3″ Calypso Coral square to cut out the quilt frame.  This leaves a tad more border around the frame for the next step. Then I  adhered a 2-7/8″ square piece of Adhesive Sheet to a piece of  2-7/8″ random cardstock. I removed the adhesive covering and  adhered the Calypso Coral die cut quilt frame to the sticky cardstock.  Then I just had to pop in the quilt patterned pieces cut from the Delightful Daisy DSP with no sticky fingers! And, doesn’t that sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set just go perfectly with the quilt set!!!

I felt victorious but knew I had to get to bed…
