Have you seen the craze of “pearlizing” your cardstock with Shimmer Paint? It has been around since Shimmer Paint came out but has made a comeback with the NEW Stampin’ UP! Blending Brushes! Notice how pretty the shimmer is on the shells- the So Saffron cardstock is the same as the card base to match the Sand and Sea Designer Series Paper.

My friend, Linda Heller, brought it to my attention and BOOM…easy as can be. I just used my Blending Brushes to paint Frost White Shimmer Paint on my cardstock. I then die cut my shells, placed them in the Stampin’ UP! Seashells Embossing Folder, and ran them through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. After they were die cut and embossed, I carefully cut the die cut from top to bottom with my guillotine cutter so I could use one piece on the front of the card and the other piece on the inside.

I used the pretty Blushing Bride 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon and Gilded Gems on the front to pull out the shimmer on the cardstock. I used Rococo Rose ink on the front of the card on the sentiment tag die cut from the Stampin’ UP! Tasteful Labels Dies. I used Flirty Flamingo ink on the inside.
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
