Stampin’ UP! Inspired Thoughts Bundle

May 28, 2021

I wanted to try die cutting some leaves out of DSP with the Inspiring Canopy Dies and decided this variegated pattern in the Beauty of the Earth made a perfect spring tree.

Now, I know the background sky isn’t Cinnamon Cider colored but It matched so nicely with the DSP, don’t you think? I pulled out the Merry Merlot color for the card base. I liked the brightness of the Old Olive for the grass but Mossy Meadow would have looked good, too. A few scattered leaves on the ground cut off of the edge finished the front.

Pull one of the trees to the inside the card along with the grass, and you are done. To make the rolling grass hills, I started out with a 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Old Olive Cardstock and cut it in half.

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

  1. Hi

    Hi Cindy,

I love it, how did you get the edge along the top of the grass? You did a bang up job.

    1. Thank you, Norma. The die actually cuts the sloping ground and sometimes adds the impression from the die depending how tight your die cutting machine is- sometimes it is more pronounced depending on what machine I am using:)

  2. Cindy it is absolutely beautiful!. A blue sky just would not have looked as brilliant. Great card!
