Stampin’ UP! Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder with Elegantly Said Stamp Set

January 3, 2021

I got to spend New Year’s eve in Pittsburgh at a wedding with my daughter’s college roommates who all happened to be long time friends even before college. My daughter is beside me in the sequin dress and the others girls are like my daughters, too!

What a wonderful way to ring in the new year!

A super cool guy they have all been friends with since the first day of freshman year married a gorgeous, smart lady. Andy was even a groomsman in my daughter’s wedding. And boy did they look awesome- like movie stars!

May be a black-and-white image of 2 people and people standing

Andy wore the coolest black bow tie with gold elements on the bottom corners- you know a SU demo would love that embellishment!

Here is the card I made for Andrew and Meghan using the NEW Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder coming out on January 4 in the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog and the Elegantly Said stamp set in the Annual Catalog.

Of course there is a story behind it…I first die cut the white and black along with the card base.

Then I embossed just the white piece with the die inside the hybrid embossing folder.

Then I put them altogether and opened the card onto a black ink pad!!!!!

So, essentially my design was prompted by my ink splotches. I decided to cover the bottom splotch with a sentiment from the Stampin’ UP! Elegantly Said stamp set cut out with a Stitched Rectangle Die. The other splotches on the sides got covered with the sweet stitched heart die and flower in the Stampin’ UP! Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The inside has an embossed pink heart adhered to a white panel that you see through the opening when the card is closed. I temporarily adhered the white panel on the inside. Then carefully slipped the die underneath the heart opening on the front. After I said a prayer to Stampin’ Jesus that it would be in place, I ran the white panel through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. And HE answered my prayer! I then embossed and cut a separate pink heart and put it inside the die cut hole in the white inside panel. I could have just adhered the embossed heart to the inside white but the stitching is pretty to see on the white around the heart:)

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
