Stampin’ UP! Amazing Thanks Dies Fun Cut Trio of Cards

February 16, 2022

Love me some word dies…so the Stampin’ UP! Amazing Thanks Dies are right up my alley.

I enjoy making a set of cards. I am calling this a DSP Fun Cut technique- I loove cutting DSP (patterned paper) into cool shapes and mixing them to make multiple cards with the DSP pieces so I am sharing it over at As You See It #268– A favourite technique of mine is Patterned Paper Fun Cut Card Ensembles.

challenge #268

I was inspired by the Landscape Vibes Sunday Stamps 276 sketch that had two overlapping rectangles with a skinny sentiment with a border. The sketch was my starting point, and then I added some fun to the background. See how easy it is to make three cards cutting three pieces of Designer Series Paper at one time! And, it doesn’t even have to be perfect!

I love the color combo I used from the Sale-a-bration Jan-Feb 2022 Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper- free gift with a $50 purchase. I used part of a sentiment from the Stampin’ UP! Inspired Thoughts stamp set and the Messages Die for the sentiment.

I made a fun inside, too…I kept saying 5/8″ in the video but I did cut them to 3/8″- the middle strip of DSP is 3-1/4″ and the two side strips are 1″. Just match the inside with the outside with what you have! Notice the the card on the right is a little off the Granny Apple Green side- not sure why…I may have cut the middle a bit longer? Just go with it, friends…

Measurements: To make 3 cards you need (3) DSP 3-3/4″ x 5″ cut as shown in video, For each card, you need a Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side, Basic White: (2) 4″ x 5-1/4″ outside and inside, (2) 2-1/2″ x 4″ rectangles for center of card, scraps for sentiment and word dies

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
