Stampin’ UP! Gorgeously Made Bundle Gift Bag with Cards Video Tutorial

July 26, 2023

This is gonna be a long post…but then, it took me a while to get it ready for you! It actually takes just a bit of time once you have my instructions and video! And remember, you can use the template/video to make this project with ANY Designer Series Paper you want!!! If you do, please send me photos!!!

It takes just two pieces of patterned paper from the Stampin’ UP! Gorgeously Made Designer Series to make a gift bag and EIGHT cards. I will show you how to make four cards, and you just make two of each card to put in the gift bag that holds the eight A2 size cards with envelopes.

Here are some photos that I showed you in the video. Sometimes, it helps to “see” it. Sorry, I should have used a Sharpie to write so you could see it better. You start with a 12″ x 12″ piece of DSP and cut off 2″ from the right side, and then 4″ from the top to leave a 8″ x 10″ piece to make the bag. Now, do this to two pieces of DSP. You end up with the two pieces for the bag and the four pieces to make the 8 cards.

That bottom left corner is what you use for the gift bag.

Here is that bottom corner after you cut off. You will be scoring on the lines. Start with scoring 1″ in with the 8″ side at the top of your scoring tool or trimmer. This is the 1″ flap that folds over at the top of the bag. Then score in 2″ on the other three sides.

Now, follow my video to see how to put together the two pieces to make the bag since I forgot to take photos of those steps! Darn.

The top 4″ x 10″ piece of DSP is cut into four 2-1/2″ x 4″ pieces.

You can make these three cards with the four 2-1/2″ x 4″ pieces. The two on the left go on the two sides of the gatefold card in the middle. The four 1″ x 2-1/2″ strips go on the card on the left with a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ white border and a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ Fresh Freesia border. The card on the right uses a piece cut with a Deckled Rectangles die.

The Thank You card on the right also uses part of the the 2″ x 12″ piece cut off. I just turned it over to show the other pattern to contrast with the flowers. It measures 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ to fit on the 2-1/8″ folded section on the front of the card.

The other strip that is 2″ x 5-1/4″ goes on the card on the left on top of the Pretty Peacock 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ card stock cut with the torn notebook edge right at the edge of the card stock.

Now there are the four cards you can make with the 2″ x 12″ piece and the 4″ x 10″ piece of DSP from one of the 12″ x 12″ pieces of DSP. Remember, you need two pieces to make the bag so you can actually make 8 cards. You can place them in the gift bag- they fit perfectly!

Phew! We made it to the end!

  1. I love how this all came together! Talk about good use of DSP! If I use it in this way then I don’t have remorse for using it. LOL Thank you for sharing such a good idea on how to make this awesome project.

  2. This was a great video and the first bag I’ve made. I watched the video and couldn’t find where to click to print the instructions and I have looked at the last few month’s blogs. Could you direct me please? Thanks.
