On Thursday, November 9, 2023 my mom, Ida LaRue “Lou” King, went home to be with the Lord. What a wonderful woman she was! She had a few years of decline and her body wore out as she was in hospice the last week. So many words can be said about her regarding her selfless service to her family. But I have to share these words I saw today that the neighbor boy, Tanner, who she loved as her own, wrote about her…Tanner’s words blessed my heart knowing how many people she served and loved that truly loved her.
I will be back soon with you all..but now is time I need to get things done for my mom’s memorial services …I know her spirit is with Jesus…and I truly rejoice knowing she is with HIM! From the time we are born, we are trying to get back to God- and she has made it!
Oh, Cindy… that note from Tanner made me cry. Sending my condolences on the death of your mom. I’m so glad you know she’s in heaven and I’m thankful for all the people that were blessed by having her in their lives. Sending you a big hug & my sympathy.

That is so beautiful! Your Mom was inspiration to so many I am sure. I’m sure God led her to changing many lives in her beautiful journey here on earth. I am so sorry that you have lost her. But knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus helps our healing hearts.

What a great tribute. There’s nothing like knowing Jesus and nothing like the comfort you have in the certain knowledge that your mother is in the presence of Jesus hearing that “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

So sorry for your loss! I know how hard it is to loss those we love. I am so happy to hear that she was a Christian and is now with our Lord and Savior! It makes it a little easier to bear, having lost our two daughters but knowing they are with the Lord helps knowing they are in a better place but the hurt of missing them is still there. Cindy, I was reduced to tears to read this remarkable young man’s words for your Mom. I know you will treasure that from Tanner. But at the bottom of your note you wrote something that has resonated within my heart with joy for your Mom – that from the time we are born and trying to get back to our Lord! Amen. That is the joy that carries us thru such a time as this. To know you will see her in heaven with Jesus is where our faith and hope comes from. Cindy. So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing but nothing but joy that she is home. What an incredible testament by her neighbor of her gift of wisdom and lending her ear. We can only hope that we could leave a legacy like she has. She raised an incredible daughter. May your tears turn to laughter and joy as you share memories.

Cindy My heart goes out to you during this sad time. My beloved husband passed away in September. He’d been struggling with Alzheimer’s for a number of years. He like your sweet mom is in a better place. We will see them later. LOVED Tanner’s dear letter to your mom! Please know many prayers are out there for you and your family!

The loss of a mother is so difficult. She passed away in 2006, and I still want to call her or send her a card.
