Here is a quick little card with a fun technique called the Floating Strip Technique.

So easy to do…take a look…
I used one of the patterns in the Stampin’ UP! Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. It paired well with Pretty in Pink with Mossy Meadow die cut trees from the Stampin’ UP! Frosted Forest Bundle. You can find it in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. I used the Stampin’ UP! Unbounded Love stamps for the sentiments on each card- inside and outside.

I also made this one with another exact pattern with different colors. I used Calypso coral and Cajun Craze trees. The Gold Foiled Gems were perfect to accent the card.

On this card, I cut a 3-1/4″ square of Window Sheet (acetate) and another square of the same size Designer Series Paper. The trees were die cut from a 3-1/4″ square, too. I put the DSP in landscape position then turned it 90 degrees and put it at the top of my trimer and cut if in half and then cut each of those strips in half to make four. It does not have to be exact just so you have 4 strips relatively the same height. Then adhere the strips on the acetate with no adhesive showing in between the strips where you can see the acetate. Die cut through both pieces with a circle or any other shape you like.
Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side.

I actually left the pink plain on the inside but added a white panel on the Calypso Coral card…and see, I fixed my ink smear on my sentiment by covering it up:)
