SU 2014-15 Catalog Cover Sneak Peek and Weekly Deals

It was a blast seeing the new catalog last night at the Premier! I met up with wonderful friends and team members to whoop it up. Here are a few pics of the night. My team member, Stacey Ailes, made some cool name tags for us, and I made a cute glitzy gift of Glimmer Paper with some shades for the girls since we were celebrities last night!

SU Week

SU Animal Talk

Happy Monday, Everyone!

I am so excited to be going to the Pittsburgh Mills Mall for the Stampin’ Up Catalog Premier for Demonstrators tonight. I am meeting four of my team members and another demonstrator friend for dinner and then…we get to see the NEW catalog!! I have butterflies in my stomach…feeling kinda giddy so I thought a fun card using the SU Animal Talk was in order today before I head out. It is still on the Retired List but not for long. You can order it online HERE. Item # 132569

I used the sketch at The Paper Players # 193  created by Anne Marie Hile. And this card is definitely for her- an avid animal lover and rescuer. Hope this makes you smile, sweet friend. Thank you for all the effort and creativity you and Lesley Croghan put into the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog over the last couple of years- we all will miss that awesome site more than ever.

SU Happy Watercolor with Peaceful Petals

Well, friends, it is with a sad heart that I post my last card as a Dynamic Duos Design Team member. I was humbled to be asked, and my life has been enriched by this challenge and the great people I worked with over the last six months that flew by so quickly. I was inspired by the vast pool of talented participants each week. It was fun to see “the other side,” and I now know how difficult it is to choose a Winner or Runner-Up each week! Every card is unique and a beautiful work of art to me. I so appreciate you playing along and the kinds comments you have given me. Many hugs to you all!

Here is the Dynamic Duos #100 “Triple Threat” challenge for this week:

As you all know and are probably tired of hearing…I am forever trying to take better quality photos. I am driving my dear husband crazy! I am working on it- got a light box off of Amazon for $40 and the hubby is making me one since I have been whining so much about my pictures. So, I will be trying new things in the future to see how to achieve what I want to see! Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy life to visit my little blog!

Be sure to check out the Design Team submissions this week over at Dynamic Duos.

SU Sketched Birthday FM Final

I made this card for a swap with some friends in my SU family. Our focus was a “Fun Fold” card- one that was not a traditional A2 folded in half. I made the envelope on the Envelope Punch Board using the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch measurements. It comes out a bit larger with the adjustments inherent in the measurements.

The white accordion part of the card is 10 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 3 1/2″ and 7″ on the 10 1/2″ side. The middle fold is blank so you can write your message. The red border it sits on is 4 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. Finally, the Pacific Point blue base that sits inside the envelope is 5 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.

You just fold up the card and place the belly band around it to keep it shut if hand delivering. If you are mailing it, skip the belly band and just close it up and your envelope is part of the card!!

SU Starburst Sayings with Kaliedoscope DSP

How many times have you been asked, “Can you make me a card?” You respond, “Sure, when do you need it?” The answer you get is…NOW. This quick card was born out of one of those moments today. I turned to Seize the Sketch # 18 for inspiration.

Of course, I got it done for my son but…I had to take a quick photo…
