SU Tuscan Vineyard for Creating Pretty Cards # 67

January 19, 2017

I played along with Craft Project Central’s Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #67  today.

Here is the sketch…why not play along?

For every 10 entries, a free month’s subscription is given away!

I just got the SU Tuscan Vineyard stamp set a week ago and thought it would be a fun one to use with the sketch for this challenge.

I cut the vineyard image down some with my Layering Ovals Framelits, it is actually a bit larger than I have on the card. *The sentiment is from the SU Mixed Drinks stamp set.

I love the images in the Tuscan Vineyard stamp set. I can’t wait to play with some more!

SU Beautiful You with Mediterranean Moments

January 15, 2017

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #81 has a Black and White with a Pop of Color theme!

I thought this card was perfect for this challenge:

But how did I do this you may be asking yourself?

First, I was inspired by a few different cards online that have masked the woman images
from the SU Beautiful You stamp set with other SU stamp sets especially one by Linda Geater.

Here are the steps I went through to make this card:

1. Stamp the woman image on scratch paper and cut it out.

2. Apply some temporary adhesive on the mask so it can be easily lifted later.
Place the mask on the 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.

3. Stamp the street scene image from the SU Mediterranean Moments stamp set over the mask.

It will look like this after you stamp the scene.

4. Carefully lift the mask to leave a white space.

5. Stamp the woman image in the white space.

This is what you will have after you stamp in the white space.

6. Stamp the woman image on Designer Paper and cut out the dress and umbrella.

7. Adhere the dress on the woman and pop up the umbrella with dimensionals.

Again, here is your finished card after adhering the white panel
on a  4″ x 5-1/4″ black panel that is adhered to a Flirty Flamingo card base.

A little stamping on the inside, too.

You can even make her wear a sundress like my friend, Amanda McCann,
did at class by cutting the arms off the dress- a happy accident that is so cute!

Craft Project Central Falling in Love with Card Candy

January 12, 2017

Falling in Love with Card Candy!  created by  Buffy Cooper .

Go to Craft Project Central to see more information on how to get this great tutorial:)

Whether you need a gift for a crafty friend, want to help a new crafter get started with card making, or need to make a quick card yourself, this tote full of card candy is the answer. Using the Falling in Love suite from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog, you’ll create several sheets of sentiments and embellishments that can easily be added to a card base to create a beautiful card in minutes. The adorable purse is perfect to hold the card candy and can be used as a gift bag later. An added bonus is a greeting card using some of the candy so the recipient can see how simple it is to create a card. This would make a lovely hostess gift or a fun class or stamp camp.

Don’t forget to play along with the Creating Pretty Cards Cards Challenge #67 this month:)

SU Special Reason and Timeless Textures with Delicate Details

January 11, 2017

I won the SU Special Reason stamp set at our SU event in November. I wasn’t too excited since I wanted the Nailed it Bundle! HAHAHA But then I got it out and started experimenting with it…needless to say, it is a cool stamp set with very versatile framelits that coordinate:)

I used Basic Gray cardstock with Rose Red cardstock- I love Rose but somehow don’t use it very often. I used Smoky Slate ink for the distressed border.

The red rubber stamp has a rough surface that makes a neat slightly distressed image. You can see that on the inside of the card.

I thought the SU Timeless Textures stamp set would coordinate so well with the vintage-distressed feel of this card. Look how many images are in the stamp set!!

And, of course, a touch of lace just finishes the card! That lace image comes from the FREE Sale-a-bration item called Delicate Details. Order $50 and get this FREE!
